I'll begin working on that, but I'd be surprised if they have one.

The Rattlers play K-State on Friday, and it's on FSN (Ch. 34 in Wichita) at 7pm I believe. Might be a good chance to see what we're up against. Without seeing them play, I'm not sure what to predict.

This is really going out on a limb, but...

          Shox -- 80
          Rattlers -- 75

I also predict that at some point we'll have a double-digit lead, and at some point after that we'll squander it away as many young teams do trying to find their way in their first few games of the year.

A bit off topic, but College Gameday will be at Florida A&M this weekend for their football game vs. Hampton.

              Back to thread:

              Shox 74
              Rattlers 62

You may be right Marty, but one certainty this season is we have SHOOTERS who can get the ball in the hoop. Also, had we shot a reasonable F/T percentage last Monday we would've easily made it to 80. Of course, that was DII Emporia State too...

To me it's defense that's iffy right now. Somehow I think that getting points on the board won't be a struggle at all. Or at least I hope not.

No clue, I'd imagine this is a big battle of the bands game or something.

I have read this more than once here and it just isn't true. Had we shot 80% (more than decent) it would have given us 5 more points, for a total of 76. To reach 80, we would have had to have shot 25-26 from the line (96%).

So, no. We were not that close to scoring 80 against ESU.

I don't think there will be many decisive victories this year. 7-10 points might be considered a large margin. Hope they surprise me, though.
I have professed the season will be bumby (sp?) but not beating a team who defeated an NAIA (think Friends University, Sterling College, Tabor, etc.) school by 8 points decisively is telling of a full scale melt down. IMO.

                        Go Shocks!!!!

Thanks for the clarification. Demonstrates once again that you can't always believe what you hear, but needless to say I still think scoring won't be a big problem this year. Keeping the other team from scoring--well, that's a different story.

Their big freshman center should give GS an excellent opportunity to get some confidence by playing against another freshman...Presumably with less ability and equal experience

Not onlys will this give Stutz some good experience it will also allow Durley to showoff his new found D sklls as well .

People keep talking about Griskenas in the rotation. I don't see where he finds minutes. He was routinely abused on the defensive ends by faster players and most players were faster. He can't be faster coming off of injury. He did a good job of rebounding for us and was beginning to find his stroke before the injury last year. My prediction is limited minutes for him this year. He may see more action depending on match-ups but overall I'd say single digit minutes.
