But neither Hannah or Chamberlain would both be out of the game at the same time. We won't be seeing line changes like in hockey. I think Marshall will want to put his best two guards on the court to start the game and at this point that's the two JUCO kids. I really doubt we'll see Murry and Kyles on the court at the same time unless we go with a three guard lineup while Hawk is out or at the end of a blow out. At least early on and until one can prove to be a reliable PG.

I wouldn't be surprised at all playing our two best guards would mean one of the freshmen starting. GM sounds like a kid at Christmas when he talks about Murry.

I'd agree if we were talking about some time during the season. At this point I think game one will have them coming off the bench.

I'm VERY high on both of the freshmen. I've been a fan of Kyles since I first saw him pop up in recruitment. Murry has grown on me a lot from his first moment.

I can't wait to catch some action over the summer though. My opinion could change if one of them is far enough along in development to beat out one of the two JUCOs. But they will have to beat someone out for the spot.

And having seen Hannah and Chamberlain actually play helps them in my mind. I've seen some clips of Murry and Kyles but that's never the same.

Any predictions on pre-season picks in the Valley. Not that it means anything but are "they" going to pick us last because of losing 4 of our 5 starters and not having a lot of experience ?

I believe he spent time at SG in high school.

We can only guess on the starting line up at this point but we will definitely have more depth and height than last year. Hopefully we will have better shooters also. I believe every position is open to see who wins the starting positions but....

based upon the comments of those who were at Hutch, Chamberlain could possibly be the starting PG. But he and Hannah will see plenty of time there and one or both will be at the SG position a lot also. More than likely, they will start the year as our starting PG and SG.

I expect Kyles and Murry to both recieve some playing time in their freshman year at the SG. However if they appear to need more time to develop, a redshirt is possible. Belief on which one will recieve more PT over the other is probably based upon paying more attention to Rivals information, or information from Scout. Rivals likes Kyles and Scout "loves" Murry. I'll go with the love from Scout and a few comments from board members who have seen him play. In fact, I predict that by his junior year we will look upon him as the best of this year's class. I look for Hatch to be a role playing SG. He could be brought in to loosen up a sagging zone defense. I have an admitted tendency to want the tallest line up possible. Although the coach calls A.J. a SF, perhaps he can slip out to the SG also.

Based upon reports from last season's practices, we should expect A.J. to be our main SF since that is the position Marshall says he is. I'm thinking Ellis will be a combo forward next year and will be A.J.'s backup although Marshall is calling him a PF at this point.

IMO RC is a near lock for the main time at PF. Back ups to choose from are of course Ellis, Durley and MG. I'm expecting A.E. to be an outstanding player before he leaves WSU. We will have to see how fast he comes around. Durley also has a shot at the outstanding label but I don't need to spell out the things that could hold him back. The one thing I will predict is this will be the make or break season for him. We just might see GS at the 4 spot for a few minutes. If we do, we could get use to that in seasons to come.

To me it's impossible for us to predict either of our 7 footers over the other at this time. The coaching staff probably has an idea, but I bet it's close enough they don't know either.

Just in case we bring in one more person who would be eligible for next season, and I doubt if we do, I'd make it a SF if possible.

I'd love for you to be right Ricky. He definitely has the talent if he'll use it.

He's this year's version of Aubrey Butler at this time last year. He might not see the floor or he might turn out to be a star.

Trop - pretty good analysis, it's terrible to have such problems ... LOL

But, I still lean towards each of the freshmen being paired with Hannah/Reggie, and AJ at the 3. To me, after seeing videos, Hannah (hits 3's in streaks) and Kyles (very fast first step, slashes, quick release) would be good, and Reggie (good solid PG) and Murry (3-maker, and slasher) would too.

I imagine our perspectives may change after seeing some pickup games, and some early practices.

The 3/4 positions have many combos, but AJ will probably get most minutes at the 3, and Clemente will at the 4.

Garrett and Ehimen, I think, will shake out fine.

The thing I guess I am hung up a little on, is offensive power at the 3/4. Can AJ/whoever hit the 3's they get. Will Clemente score at the 4? I know Durley finishes well at the 4. And just how do Gris/Ellis factor in on offense?

And will the team have a good set of Offensive plays this coming season?

Some pretty good questions Snap about the team. I have no idea how good of 3 point shooter A.J. will be as I don't believe it's his strong point. If he doesn't shoot for a good percentage from behind the arc it will put more pressure on the guards to stop teams from sagging in on us. I think we can expect RC to score more, but not a lot more than he did last season.

To me the big questions are how many of them will be ready for MVC championship quality basketball and team chemistry.

                        My questions are:

How does PT shake out for JTD, AE, and MG.

Where to TM and DK fit in THIS year.

I have a solid idea about our two transfer guards, Clemente, AJH, GH, and the 7's.

                          When should pickup games startup?

I am guessing around June 15th or so.

I, definately, will go out to watch some of them this year.

JT just sound different when he talks now.He has matured alot and that alone will make a huge difference in his game.I agree ,JT is going to have a breakout yr.I think he's capable of being a double double guy.

If he'll attempt to play D he can be. JT can be as good as he wants to be. I've been a big fan of his and I think that's why it's so irritating to many of us that he appears to not try on D sometimes. I'm sure it's not that he doesn't try, but he got abused pretty good by some average players.

Between his ears will make or break his season.

I think this is the year where JT shows if he will start at WSU alongside a 7 footer as an upper-classman or he shows that he would rather dominate at D II as Jr,/sen. He's got the talent, and he needs to use it!
