Come on, now, somebody make the comment that now that T's not "at this level" anymore, that I bet his summer conditioning requirements will change to reflect his new position. I have a feeling the players at A&M may attend summer school and will stay together playing p/u games over the same time as well.

I think he showed athleticism and an ability to play the game the way it should be played. Aaron's greatest strength is his ability to create height/athleticism mis-matches. He was not a difference maker or even of starting caliber, but what he did show is that he may be both of those things in the near future. I expect him to be a double figure scorer and a go to guy when he is an upper classman. I do not expect those things out of Hatch and Durley (although Durley's ceiling is just as high).

I think we are all waiting for the light to come on for JT. When and if it happens we will all know it and JT will become the player we expect.
However with some players the light never comes on...ala Jamie Arnold. I always thought Jamie could have played at the next level.
The kid could rebound and had some skills down low. He just never worked hard enough to realize his potential.

I agree, I think his only problem was freshman itis. I expect we will see huge improvements. 8) 8) :posterwu:

He certainly had moments of uber athleticism. I hope he develops into a consistent, high quality player. We'll see.

Funny, seemed like Turgeon's teams started out good, and then dropped off as the season went along, perhaps because of increased intensity as the season progressed.

No way that could happen with this team, to many talented hungry players competing for PT.MT never had this much talent competing for PT even with his sweet 16 team.

Does anyone get the feeling like I have that Orupke will not be setting foot on the court for us this year. Just they way Paul Sullentrop talks I am beginning to think it will be another year before we get him

Honestly, I'm not worried. By all accounts he's a very good student and I think Paul is just trying to be cautious until it's official. He knows what Shocker fans have been through during the whole process and wants to keep things in perspective since we've gotten our hopes up in the past only to be let down by the process. He's been rumored to have already taken his GED which I believe is the first step and it happened earlier than we were led to believe which I think is a good, positive sign. I believe next he has to take his ACT and only score something like a 17 which shouldn't be an issue at all. At this point, I'd be surprised if anything keeps him out of a Shocker uniform this season.

If he's taking the ACT/SAT his scores from Nigeria must not have arrived.Usually the scores from the home country is enough to be cleared through the clearinghouse.My Nigerian associate told me that if he didn't bring the scores with him it is almost impossible to get them.The clearinghouse has an understanding about these situations and are sometimes a little flexible, but it's got to be done right and through the proper channels.It can happen still.

Marshall said on the Shocker Sports Report (or whatever the Cox 22 show is called) that EO never received his test scores, in spite of doing everything right to get them.

He said a lot of the same things you mention, in that there are ways to get him through the clearinghouse, but that there is a strict process and a lot of work to do to satisfy the NCAA.

EO has taken the GED simply because he didn't get his test scores from Nigeria. The GED is the alternate route. Plan B, if you will.

If that was the case with the GED, why didn't they do that last year then? I guess I'm not seeing the big picture or something. I must be fuzzy still from last night.
