If you're looking for a more affordable site that doesn't have that much detail but still offers some good insights, hoop-math.com is another good site to look into. Think it's $15 for a year's subscription."In God we trust, all others must bring data." - W. Edwards Deming

mcduffie really needs to improve his handles. that includes catching and finishing under/around the basket. nba defenders, yes, nba defenders, would make his life miserable, as it stands now. he needs to work hard on his hands/handles this summer, like, first and foremost.. gaining weight shouldn't be much of a problem, at his young age, but he must get his handles down.
sidenote: speaking of gaining weight, strength- i hope austin reeves doesn't have to redshirt. he's a gamer with a hard nose.

What does an NBA team care if a kid throws away his college career to make himself a candidate to be drafted and plunked into the D-League? They may or may not choose him when the time actually comes -- there are plenty of guys who were even invited to the combine, which MM was not, who won't get drafted; but it's of no consequence to the team one way or the other -- they've just expanded their options by one more guy. Big whoop. Meanwhile, the player is essentially forced to shut down his college education and scratch around for a contract somewhere.
It's hard for me to imagine that McDuffie's parents or Coach Hurley, to the extent he might be involved, would find that an appealing set of options, especially compared to coming back to a probable top ten team, continuing to develop, and improving his chances of moving up in the pecking order for the future.

It's to the credit of McDuffie, his parents, and whoever else is in his "inner circle" into which Topshock seems to believe he has an undisclosed insight, that they recognized what makes sense for him.

I think this will be his year. Last year he was nott 100% most of the year with his early surgery. Maui will tell what he has now.

The good news is the recent NBA experience for MM could prove to be a plus as he learned more about improving both his strengths and weaknesses. From there, those that want to 'play for pay' with the pros someday, somewhere, will take their learnings and seek to work hard on improving their overall game and to be more consistent in that quest. Yes, I think MM will come out primed, able, and ready to help our Shocks have a banner Season. He is part of the tripod foundation of this team along with Shaq and LS to provide us with quality performances and team leadership IMO. I liked how he developed on the defensive end to assist Zach Brown to 'slow down to a mild roar' the key players of our foes. Next time we play a team such as Kentucky, look for MM as a developing Junior, to hit big shots and make defensive stops on a more consistent level than ever before. This will become contagious and then our Shocks will be a "handful" to defeat this Season.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Has anybody seen MM recently? Has he bulked up, at all? If anybody has seen a pickup game, how does he look?"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."
