It must be somewhat competitive with other coaches. I wonder if Gregg and Donnie didn't work out other perks (housing/car allowance, etc.) that enhance the standard of living, and Wichita is a lot cheaper to live at than Florida. Another part of the agreement may be significant raises after he puts in a couple of years, and probably all of the coaches receive rewards for league Championships, recruiting wins, NCAA wins, etc.

Might make sense given the move to the AAC that our coaches' salaries would rise. My best guess.

Concerning Jones, his 2 titles and list of current NBA players that he recruited in college might have had something to do with it too.

Remember that the pool of money for assistant coaches and the DOBO is specified in HCGM's contract. I believe the pool was $623k to pay the 3 assistants and the DOBO when the contract was signed, I don't know if there were any increases built into that number like there are in Gregg's salary.

In order to pay ACDJ much more than $200k would probably require one of the other assistants to take a pay cut or Marshall would have to pay some out of his own pocket.

Not to be a smart arse, but he was hired in the middle of an extremely important recruiting period, so I sure hope he's having an immediate impact in that regard. Sort of... you know... item 1a or 1b in his job description.
