I think the link is ok, something about the certificate needing to be validated by the user. I think this new website is causing issues

I think there are two problems. The first is that the address was changed on the website after you posted it.

The second problem is that the link is using 'https' incorrectly as the website has a certificate issue. The new version of Shockernet seems to be doing this automatically with every link. Removing the 's' will probably fix most of the links.

            Link with Error (old URL):
            http://www.goshockers.com/news/2017/...ing-range.aspx

            Link with Error (HTTPS):
            https://goshockers.com/news/2017/10/...ing-range.aspx

removing the 's' from 'https' in the second link should work.

When I go to the article on goshockers and copy the address into Notepad, I don't get the "s" added to the "http" prefix. Let me copy it here and see if the"s" appear in the link.

There's no "s" in the address as I type the message. Now I'm going to post the reply and then come back and edit if the "s" appears.

Edit: As I recall, last night the "s" was getting added when I pasted the address into a post. Today that's not happening. This link doesn't have the "s" and it worked - at least once when I clicked on it.

That link worked, so I think you've solved the issue.

Virtually every other link posted on any thread has not worked--whether it's to goshockers or not--and it seems to be due to the https issue.

Your link without the "s" worked for me. Thanks!

                      • Somehow, the "s" did not originally appear in my post, but it's there now. And it's in every copied version of the post. Let me try again and see if when it gets added can be pinpointed. AS I'm posting, this has no "s" following "http"

I don't see any link on this page of the thread that doesn't have the "s" in "https" and clicking on the last link above does not work for me, just and error message about "insecure connection"

                              • I closed ShockerNet and then opened it again and the "s" appeared. This version of the message board is adding the "s". It's possible there is some switch that says "Only link to secure accounts - or something to that effect.

If I attempt to edit the post, the "s" is not in the version to edit. I just hit "save" and the "s" disappeared. Then I refreshed the page and the "s" reappeared.
