Discussing Potential Future OOC Opponents

One-off road games against top 50 opponents are fairly different, though. I just don't agree with the sentiment that a loss doesn't hurt us that much. This year, we had 30 (would've been 29 if we lose on Sunday of Arch Madness) wins. If you added another OOC loss, we'd have had 28 wins. I would bet an irresponsible amount of money that a 28 win Shocker team doesn't get in the tournament, since a 30 win team is a 10 seed.

We also cannot complain about Long Beach because that was part of the B4A event. Since we are in Maui next year, we certainly could have another guarantee game like that. Let's hope it turns out to be a 75-100 type opponent.

So Mullers tweet got a response from the Ole Miss AD and Coach saying they would love to match up, and Muller just responded that he will be calling them today. This is interesting lol

Gotta give Muller some credit on this one.

Let's remember, Ole Miss isn't sticking their neck out without doing a little investigating first. ILS loses a lot...Paris, Hawkins, Wills, maybe even McIntosh. Ole Miss is looking at this as an opportunity to win both games against 50(maybe 75)-100 RPI team.

How confident would you be that WSU could strike this same deal with Ole Miss? They know we'd be the ones looking to win both games.

I agree with not whoring ourselves out, but scheduling a game like the Memphis one-off (neutral court) would be perfectly okay.

Hell, we could play Duke in Charlotte, Kentucky in Nashville, UCLA at staples and call them "neutral court" for all I care.

I still don't think it'd hurt to do a one off road-only game with a solid top 30 team once in awhile instead of playing LBSt and Southern Naz. Even if you lose it's not hurting you.

So I was listening to the Gooblieb Show today (sue me, during tournament time I'll take all the tournament talk I can get while at work), he had Muller on. Now, I'm no Muller fan and I hate the Redturd fanbase with a passion, but one of his first talking points stated was that Wichita State seeded 10th was an "absolute JOKE". And he said "joke" emphatically too.

I'm gonna bite the bullet and root for Dan in the NIT. And the Ole Miss pull was a very savvy get.

Just from listening to Marshal over the years and reading between the lines I believe he has a serious dislike for one time buy games. If it ever gets to the point where we have to go to that process to get good RPI games it will be just another reason for him to think about leaving.
