Coach Marshall and his Staff have Always had a speciality of finding really good guards. This Season, I like all 4 of our guards, knowing the best is yet to come. These Shocks have no Seniors that play much but have not even begun to fight and will continue to grow as a team as the Season rolls on. They are playing team ball, knowing they will get the individual minutes in various games in the confines of what our team happens in need in different matchups in each game. Austin was still another great find that flew under the radar of even the teams in his own back yard.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I know Mark Adams can be way over the top, but he was already drawing some RB comparisons from him. His minutes need to increase IMO. Where do they go? I dunno.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Reaver has a lot of positives. The only thing that dampens my enthusiasm for him is the continuing and ongoing questions regarding his shoulder. I would not wish to be in the place where we depend on him as much as Ron Baker and his shoulder dislocates in the middle of an NCAA Elite 8 game.
As for Conner, Gregg still sees what he can be and continues to periodically calls plays designed for him to get open.
I watched the OSU game yesterday and Forte. I saw him play several times between 2-3 years ago. He was a great shooter and could pull the trigger from anywhere. He was a great shooter. Last year, he succumbed to injury and missed the entire year except for 3 games, and was redshirted. He is a 5th year Senior this year. It was noted by tv analysts that Forte was 6-27 prior to yesterday's game vs. Tulsa. I don't know his exact numbers yesterday but he was not effective. Coach Underwood still sang Forte's praises, saying they need him to get it back and he is not giving up on him. For this Shocker team to reach its ceiling, we need CF to get his confidence back. Especially if Reaves has an ongoing health issue that doesn't get solved.

D1 defense for a true freshman has to be really really tough.
D1 Marshall defense has to be even tougher.
AR seems to have the competitive desire to want to improve on his weaknesses.
Should be fun to watch. For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.
