  • I really think an 11 or 12 is reality from this moron. However he cannot place us in the playin but would if he could

We are better than a 12 seed BUT that wouldn't be the worst thing ever. Another 12 over a 5. A do-able path to the S16. A HUGE chip on our shoulder ... just sayin

        • Here is what i find the most inconsistent about the RPI...

Your RPI isnt important for being selected in the tournament. What matters is quality wins. How do we rate quality wins? We rate them by how high the RPI is for the teams you beat.

          What?

          • I would be shocked if we are an 8/9 seed. I think we should be a 6. I'm still calling for it!

P5 resumes are filled with Top 50 wins and that's all that gets talked about. But what about a team with an RPI of 29? or 40? Aren't they in the Top 50?

They brag up the Top 50 win counts but then dismiss certain teams in the Top 50. It's a hilariously bad hypocrisy.
              Deuces Valley.
              ... No really, deuces.

Unfortunately, you can (though that'd mean you're a 16 seed, which...isn't gonna happen).
Though, again, I think the First 4 should ONLY be between bubble teams.

It's hard to say which is better: beating the good teams and losing to bad ones, or vice versa? Is it better to beat a bunch of decent teams, or a few good ones. If only there was a metric that could do that analysis for us.

                    Best win @ USC
                    Next best win vs Princeton

Tournament level wins vs at large or even any bubble teams (@USC...that be it)

There has to be like no chance Cal would be in as of today they would need at least 2 Pac 12 tournament wins just to be in the conversation.

Another team that has zero chance people still talk about is Georgia Tech at 16-14 with RPI of 95 and non conf SOS of 270 despite their nice number of top 50 wins at 4 they are not getting in without winning that tournament or at least making the Finals.
Little did we know that when the NCAA said they would looking at some advanced metrics it meant that losses would simply be ignored.

                    • That fun part of the year when I go from being pissed about all the Clemson's of the world to rooting for them. The more of those teams we could possibly get match up with, the better!

                      • I'm still saying a seven seed. Hope ISU makes it in. Would
like THEM as a nine seed playing Creighton with the winner
playing KU. That would be good entertainment.

                              • As a note: Lundari's page says he's updated his bracket today (maybe that was this morning). WSU dropped to an 8 seed, IL St up to an 11, Maryland up to a 7 after beating Rutgers earlier in the week and then Mich St, Miami up to a 7 for losing twice this week on the road, and Creighton still a 7 after losing to Marquette which was their 3rd loss out of 4 (beat St. Johns at home) or 7 of their last 12 which ever you prefer.
