  • Is it just me or do the comments section no longer appear under Palm's bracketology ? How lame if they removed it because people were commenting on his brackets like how stupid he was for not having Wichita State in.

    • Gary Parrish just said on TV "I respect Jerry Palm he is the best in the business but I disagree with Wichita State being left out".

Best in the business ? He has beat me once in the last 11 years in scoring for brackets. (We tied once). He is ranked 61st out of 88 people on the matrix.

      What a joke.

            Graham - Shamet
            Jackson - McDuffie or Brown
            5 Steps - Frankamp
            Lucas - Shaq

At least to start the game that makes sense to me. I really like the matchups for us. I wish I knew the other one seeds well enough to make the same comparison.
You should probably switch Shamet & Frankamp around. The travelling Ukrainian is 6'7" which is probably a bad matchup for Conner.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

            • FWIW - ScoreMobile weekly bracketology has Shox as an EAST 10 playing 7 Maryland then advancing to play (assumed) 2 Louisville.
"Someone is going to get stuck with Wichita State in the Round of 32, and win or lose, that top seed is going to be singing the Shockers' praises postgame".

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that one.

                  vs A, vs B
                  Kansas: 12-3, 4-0
                  Villanova: 9-3, 6-0

                  Louisville: 8-6, 4-0
                  Baylor: 11-5, 3-1

Forget KU and Villanova. At worst, Gonzaga should be the third #1 seed. AT WORST.
My question is, did the Zags honor their seniors before or after their loss to BYU?

I agree with you, and I've had this conversation with many people, @WuShock16: to name one, and even the most die hard up north honk concedes there's at least a little concern. In fairness, however, I do think one needs to look at the other side of the equation, and I believe Mason and Graham would give Conner and Landry fits, defensively. They both are elite defenders when they want to be. Those matchups would trouble me, more than anything else.

Pretty good, PA -- that's about the nicest thing anyone can say about Facepalm at this point. I have no idea how to confirm our man Henry's claim that Facepalm ranks 61st out of some universe of 88 bracketologists, but I wouldn't doubt it, and I certainly trust Henry over a CBS co-worker to be giving us the straight story.

In the end, though, it's all just TV hype and manufactured controversy. College basketball outside of March Madness, or the occasional rivalry matchup between big-name teams, or maybe a special occasion like UCLA-Houston years ago, is a low-viewer proposition. And CBS knows that the Valley tournament championship game on a Sunday afternoon in early March is no exception. So why not turn one of the teams involved into a source of contention, in the hope that some people will tune in to see what all the fuss is about, or to watch what's supposedly a must-win game for a ranked team to get into the tournament?

It's no coincidence that one of the few places where WSU is consistently talked down is the same network that's going to be televising their league's tourney championship and would like to have some extra people watch the game, for whatever reason they decide to do so.

"The 27-4 Wichita State Shockers haven’t played anybody this year.". What a dumb opening sentence. Appreciate that they say we're in, but these articles are so misleading.
