  • Palm having California in is the most absurd of all his current in picks. They lost both at Utah by 30 and they lost at Colorado this week.

    19-11 (10-8)
    RPI 56
    1-7 vs RPI top 50
    4-9 vs RPI top 100
2 losses outside RPI top 100
Non conf SOS 48, OverallSOS 42

    Best win @ USC
    Next best win vs Princeton

Tournament level wins vs at large or even any bubble teams (@USC...that be it)

There has to be like no chance Cal would be in as of today they would need at least 2 Pac 12 tournament wins just to be in the conversation.

Another team that has zero chance people still talk about is Georgia Tech at 16-14 with RPI of 95 and non conf SOS of 270 despite their nice number of top 50 wins at 4 they are not getting in without winning that tournament or at least making the Finals.
2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion $200,000 (2460 teams)

    2014 DFWC National Champion $9,250 (288 teams)
    2015 RTS Fantasy Championship 2nd Place $25,000 (3120 teams)

2015 NCAA Bracketology (351 pts more than all 136 at the bracket matrix)

    Kentucky Wildcats National Champions 2012 1998 1996 1978 1958 1951 1949 1948

Are you sure? I just checked now and we're a 14-seed.

          • Two things:
            1) Am I the only one that'd rather see an Illinois State in than a middling ACC team?
            2) Also, I like 68 teams, but I CAN'T be the only one who thinks that all 4 games should be between bubble teams. I've always felt, at least since it became 68, that if you win your conference, you should be in the field of 64, period.

This game settled all the scores between us and them for the year including RPI. No debate about who the real best team was.

                  • Don't be surprised if Palm has us as a 12-seed.

                    • Palm's entire theory is that the ONLY thing the committee looks at is "quality wins", basically ignoring bad losses and margin of victory ( just like RPI does). A one point loss on a 40 foot prayer is exactly the same as a 30 point beat down to him. Number of quality wins can't be their ONLY criteria when Team A gets 15-20 chances at a quality win while Team B gets 4. You don't think a team like ISU or WSU would have a pile of top 50 wins in that case? They have to use other factors to judge those teams, like computer metrics that take into account all kinds of factors. Otherwise just make it a Power 5 tournament and call it that.

                      • I'm glad they are killing the RPI.. They are, right?

I dont know if you can play there when you are an automatic bid, but if he had anything to say about it, we would be.
