A new thread will probably be started on this but I just saw that the
top 16 will be chosen on a CBS show 2/11. My initial thought is that
this is a very bad idea when conference champions and tournament
winners have not even been determined.lComment

The Top 16 will be a mock selection show in an effort to increase transparency. The selections are not binding and will only reflect what the committee would have done as of that date.Comment

This is a good first step. That said, what would be just as important...if not more important...would be knowing the last few at-large teams. If KU finds out that they are a 2 instead of a 1, that's really not that big of a deal. The Beakers will be dancing regardless. It would be a big deal though to find out whether someone like Wichita State is inside or outside the bubble at this point.
