I grew up idolizing Wichita city kids who became WSU Shocker stars. Players like Kelly Pete, Terry Benton, Antoine Carr, and Aubrey Sherrod (among many others). I still have a special place in my heart for Evan Wessell and believe that Conner will be a very good Shocker player before his career is complete. Many area fans may not care but they should.We can't tell anything from Gregg's words and they are open to interpretation, but Conner deserves our respect in spite of his errors in judgement.

He certainly looks stronger. Didn't help that he was only 17 when he arrived, but I imagine there's some physical maturity kicking in.

Absolutely. 19 lbs is a nice bit of muscle to add though, regardless of what causes it.

While I agree it could help, I'm not so sure Duff can't be an AA at 207.

"All American" gets thrown around here pretty loosely. We're going to have to have some pretty special accomplishments as a team for any individuals to get those types of accolades again. Fred, Ron, and Cle were the beneficiaries of a lot of press following the final four and undefeated season. Marsall's system simply does't allow for any one person to shine enough, ala Doug McDermott, to garner all american honors without wildly successful team performance.

I thinkit can happen. This probably won't be the year but we will continue to have success in the NCAA Tournament under Gregg.

I agree - I think we have the makings of a team that can get back to the Final 4 or close to it. If we do that, some of our guys will get recognized.

-Lots of upper classmen
-NCAA experience
-Talent and athleticism
-Coaching staff

Now it's just a matter of how everything comes together. I'm optimistic.
