I think IF we can come out with a dub against a very talented and guard oriented Miami team then the early start might be a break. The sooner the game is over the sooner everybody can get home and start to recuperate for the trip to Louisville.

If we can get this one we'll be back on even footing with the other teams as far as rest and prep time.

I don't think the early start is of any particular benefit for next weekend IF the Shocks are fortunate enough to advance. But you are right that if we can get by Miami tomorrow then we will be back on equal footing going forward and having played 3 games in 5 days against very good competition will only have helped us.

Spread on the game now up to Shocks by 2 to 2.5 depending on the Sportsbook. Can anybody ever recall an 11 seed being favored over a 3 seed before?

We are going to be competing against Creighton/Wagner in that 11AM time slot.

Those Jays rating hunters just can't catch a break.

But hey, at least they're on ESPN.

Not saying Miami is better than the Shox, just that "must play best game of year to have a chance" is a little extreme.
But I'm talking about like right now. As in THIS tournament. Throw the regular season records out my friend. It's March Madness!!!

These here Shockers are in an insane defensive mind set. Any team that beats them in THIS tournament will have to put it all together and play their BEST game of their year.

This one is gonna be a lot harder because Miami actually has a really, really good PG that can take over games. That's what worries me a bit.

I really, really, really, really wanna make it to next weekend. Come on guys.

To me, it's only a problem if Miami runs clear-outs for Rodriguez. I don't think he's as strong, quick or jumps as well as Washpun. That being said, if it does happen, hopefully we can get a helper to collapse on him when he gets the pass.

Most of the time I've watched Fred, he more than holds his own with other PG's, so I think if it's a draw in strength, quickness and jumping, I'd think Fred will handle him.

Fred handled Yogi Farrell just fine last year. Although Yogi is a slasher, he's nowhere near the threat on a clear-out that Washpun was. Washpun is a highly underrated player, and even though Angel Rodriguez is quick, is he Wes Washpun quick? I haven't seen Miami play enough to know that, but I'm betting he isn't.

I said last Sunday that I liked our bracket as it gave us a good path to the S16. I'm not changing my mind now.

$49 SW to 314 then RAC 4 hours to Louisville if the guys make it happen.

                      Go Shocks!

This game might be Rodriguez vs VanVleet. How'd that work out for Yogi?

It might also be about McClennan vs Baker. Who do you like?

Their next 4 vs our next 7. How about that match up?

The IU game we trailed for nearly the entire first half and was virtually a one possession game the whole way. Could have went either way. I guess it pretty much is a 50/50 game isn't it? I guess I would just prefer to keep pasting teams so I can give the heart a breather.

It would be nice to see Bake find his 3 stroke but he's still finding his way. I'm really worried about fatigue with him, especially late.

As to the remaining matchups, I just don't know about Miami's frontline, other than they're obviously bigger than us. So far that hasn't caused problems but I would guess they would be decently skilled.

Thinking about heading out to a bar. I guess fox and hound said they don't have the alumni watch parties anymore. Anybody know if they have them at a different location?

We don't stand a chance. Do you know how much national attention the Creighton Bluejays are getting right now?
