Having said that, anyone that believes that WSU will relinquish the Championship easily is mistaken. The group coming back, the group coming in, the group that redshirted will be formidable. It will still be our title to lose. I predict a four-peat. Should a four-peat come to pass, it will have been done with zero, ZERO seniors. Now won't that be a kick in the teeth.
EDIT: I missed Brenton Scott (SO) on the 2nd team. But since I think the Trees will be worse next year, the point remains.Last edited by RoyalShock; March 2, 2016, 02:54 PM.

If the Jailbirds are picked as the preseason favorite -- and I agree with others that we'll have to see which of their players expected to be able to return actually do so -- that should provide even more motivation for the Shocks than the 1-12 foolishness we've been hearing about for so long now. The Shocks seem to use such motivation very well.
The other thought that occurs to me is this: if a team consistently underperforms with all that talent, is there some reason to expect that one season they're suddenly going to start playing up to their capabilities? I'm thinking that underachievement is just something you have to factor in when you're evaluating the Red Dreamers.

My guess is that they will be voted as the preseason favorite next year by the coaches and media members. The Shockers will no doubt have something significant to say about the ultimate outcome of that prediction.

It's hysterical that Redturd fans think they're gonna be the favorites next year.
Beat WSU for the first time in 12 regular seasons, at home, by 5, and now it's Redturd takeover. Forget about the 6 losses (1 to Missouri State lol) and the coaching caliber of Dan Muller.
These Ivy scholars are too easy.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Originally posted by 1972Shocker View PostMaybe. Maybe not. My guess that losing Fred, Ron, Evan and Anton will cause many folks to conclude that the Shocks will take a step backward next year. Personally, I don't think that is necessarily a sign of stupidity. In addition to some outstanding talent moving on there are some major league intangibles moving on as well not the least of which is leadership. You know folks are going to look back at how we performed without Fred earlier this year and project that into next year. So stupid or not I would not be surprised at all if Illinois State is installed as the preseason favorite next fall.
