I heard the same horse $hit from KU friends and relatives. Pretty good people as long as we’re not in basketball season. A few days before the game last year they were all talkin’ smack predicting a 20+ curb stomping; they reminded me that they won the mighty Big 12 for the eleventh straight time. After we ‘curb-stomped’ them back to Lawrence, they said, “that was our worst team in 20+ years and we had all kinds of injuries during the season and Perry wasn’t healthy.” Of course a couple of them weren’t available for conversation until we lost to Notre Dame… then here they come again. “That was your ‘Super Bowl’ and that’s the reason we won’t play you during the regular season, you proved it when you lost your next game to Notre Dame.” “We just don’t ‘get-up’ when we play Mid-Majors like WSU”. “We’d still win 9 out of 10 games on a neutral court.” “You guys will make a free-fall after next year when you lose VanVleet and Baker.” “VanVleet and Baker still wouldn’t start on KU’s team." "Marshall will be gone when the next decent job opens..."

Those comments are just the tip of the iceberg.
