I disagree @choida. Wins tomorrow and Saturday and then an appearance in the semis would be plenty. After that it is merely about improving on seeding.

This needs to be the team's approach; thankfully, I think it is.

I suspect the team's approach is even simpler than worrying about who's in control, and can be summarized in three words -- just don't lose.

Those two games recently, especially the one at home against the UNIs, just left a really bad taste, kind of like the sourness after you throw up. So they don't want to have that taste again (or to have Marshall giving them any more NIT messages). Plus, you know how LeFred hates losing, and who wants to disappoint him at this point?

By the way, WSU continues to be #10 in KenPom and (in terms of their overall rating) closer to #8 than to #11. So I don't think the selectors will find that it "clouds their thinking" to consider that, too.

I sometimes criticize Lundardi, but he seems to be:

1 - A good guy
2 - Treats stupid questions with respect and professionalism
3 - Honest
4 - Not afraid to express completely disagreement with a false premise
5 - Willing to fight the "but they are from a BCS conference" garbage as a non-starter

If you don't have time to look deeper on your own, a quick glance at his ranks or quotes about different subjects isn't the worst that you could do.
