Does Lunardi have a second Valley team in his bracket? No. That obviously means that he projects us with the auto-bid, not with an at-large.

The highest 10 seed here for you guys.
With just 16 days left until Selection Sunday, the Friars and Gators are just hanging on. Then there are the Hawkeyes, no longer a sure thing to play in their own backyard for the first two rounds.
"Note that I've included the Wichita State Shockers here even though they'll likely have to get to the Missouri Valley Tournament final a week from Sunday to qualify as an at-large."2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion $200,000 (2460 teams)

[QUOTE=ROOT ANGRY!;634502]Originally posted by Jamar Howard 4 President View PostAlright all you WSU pessimists, time to put up or shut up.
Joe Lunardi’s first 8 out:
Gonzaga
Oregon St
St. Bonaventure
George Washington
Alabama
Washington
UCLA
BYU
Someone tell me who in this group is going to jump the Shox if WSU finishes 2-1 or 3-1 and needs an atlarge bid. And don't tell me that one of them will go crazy and win 4 more top 50 games before finally losing in their tourney finals. Sure, someone might do that, but just as likely, someone who is already in will do the opposite, tank, and fall out of the field. The net effect would be that the Shox would still get in.
I'll preface this by saying I agree with your take that we're in, assuming we take care of business tomorrow.
That said, those who forcus on the "who've you beaten" side of the equation could easily take Oregon State ahead of us. #31 in RPi, 6-6 in top 50 RPI games, with two wins against the top 10 in RPI
Their Kenpom rating is 62, but that "who've you beaten" crowd doesn't know what advanced metrics are, in my opinion. (They'd also be likely to say that we lost to Alabama head to head, so there)
Oregon St - might be higher already with 6 top 50 wins
St. Bonaventure - possibly
George Washington - possibly
Alabama - possibly
Washington - no
UCLA - no
BYU - no
How many bids will be stolen ? Say you lose in the MVC tournament that means 1 bid will be stolen there so maybe you need to worry more about the teams that are already in and which ones would need to fall out from the last 4 in/last 8 to keep you in.
Yes he has you guys as an 8 seed but if you lose where does that drop you and wait for it...Joe L isn't the actual committee so maybe the real committee has you as an 11 seed right now so that means how many teams that steal bids become more important than anyone passing you up. Say 4 bids get stolen this year that's 4 teams that need to fall out that are not you.
Win the tournament don't leave anything to chance.Last edited by HenryMuto; February 26, 2016, 07:05 PM.2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion $200,000 (2460 teams)

I have no interest in watching us lose again this year.
That said, I wish we could take a trip to a parallel universe where we lose in the conference tournament just so everyone spouting this bubble nonsense could be proven wrong.

Should we be worried about all the teams that are unranked or lower ranked beating higher ranked opponents today?"Maybe one day we can be the No. 1 team in the country, the No. 1 seed and all that. I'm just excited for this year to be in the Sweet 16, have a chance to go to the Elite 8 next week."

Looking at some of the bracketology sites and see you showing up in St. Louis. I've sold NCAA tourney tickets to Shocker fans for the last two years (at significantly less than Stub Hub rates). I'm an Iowa State and UNI fan who gets to buy decent seats early at nearby venues, but then we seem to always get sent far away. Well, I've got 4 great seats right behind the basket on the floor in St. Louis. If we don't go there, I will be back here to offer them to offer them to you guys. I've started a thread in the Ticket Exchange just in case.
