I know many don't want to admit it, but it is a sign of respect.

Funny, because their team isn't drastically different from where they are now. Bragg and Diallo don't play much, and they're really the only new additions that play.
I would love a matchup with KU. And, as some here have pointed out, the argument that it would have been different had Embiid (who went pro after 2014) and Alexander (who was ineligible) been playing is comical. And we are better than last year, according to KenPom. Higher Rank and Pyth, and we were only #15 heading into the tourney in 2015.
Also, in today's episode of "What the hell did he say?":
I understand that WSU is much better than an 8/9 seed, but I'd take them over any 8/9 because we will beat them, and in the tourney, it's all about winning and advancing."In God we trust, all others must bring data." - W. Edwards Deming

WSU and KU won't have the possibility of getting paired up so early in the tournament. The committee won't let that happen, as far as their concerned, the novelty has worn off.
I'm actually fine with that. If WSU did face KU and got beat, I wouldn't be able to stomach the realization that FVV and RB ended their careers at the hands of those arrogant phucks up north.
