Forget winning out. If CU wins 5 of their next 6, they are likely in. It is more likely that they go 3-3 or 4-2, but they aren't as far of a longshot as the Creighton obsessed haters on this board try to make them out to be.

I'm listening to Sports Daily and about ready to turn it off. I really liked Jason Albret at first but it's clear he has too much P5 in him. They've spent the entire hour talking about Kansas State basketball. Really? He thinks KSU gets in with an 8-10 conference record, simply based off the Big XII getting teams in with that record last year. No comparison with other teams on the bubble. No resume talk about KState. Just simply stating an 8-10 conference record would be enough to get in. Even was considering 7-11 might have a chance.
Is this **** for real? Is there anybody sane out there that wants to talk about college basketball?
Absolutely embarrassing.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Looks like the Selection Committee, as they do every year, will be conducting a "Mock Tournament Selection". Some highlights:
The committee is meeting in Indianapolis, kind of a refresher course for the veterans and a chance for new members - Ohio University athletic director Jim Schaus and Duke athletic director Kevin White - to get a chance to see the process in action.''Usually there are between nine and 11 conferences that could send multiple teams to the tournament,'' Castiglione said. ''This year I could make a case for 14 leagues to get multiple bids if a team doesn't win the automatic berth, and that's going to make for an exciting stretch run.Castiglione said injuries, suspensions and midseason eligibles will all be considered when a team is discussed, and he said the suspensions include those of coaches. The rule is anybody with a connection to the school being discussed must leave the room."In God we trust, all others must bring data." - W. Edwards Deming

Suspensions should never be considered. Ever. Suspensions happen because someone did something stupid and is being punished. It shouldn't be rewarded.
And I'm maybe ok with considering that a team now has a midseason eligible player, so they might be slightly better than their record, but they should receive no such consideration for losses without that player. That was the way the team chose to construct their team for the year.
