  • Instead of begging for forgiveness on our losses without Fred, what really would have been impressive and shown how good we were, would have been for us to have won one or two with him out.

    • I know the Shox will struggle next season without Fred and Ron, but not as much as I previously expected.

They will to an extent (absolutely), but it might be better to not have to rely on two players all the time. It might spread the ball and the court (like the Final 4 team).

Ron and Fred are Shocker legends, without a doubt. Sometimes it seems like they feel they have to do everything themselves though. I hope they can get back to what made them so great to begin with.

You can be great leaders without having to put all the burden on your shoulders. Take some off the pressure of yourselves and it might do wonders.

      • Certainly makes things more interesting. Bubble is weak this year (never heard that before I know) especially with 2 more open spots with SMU and Louisville out who would been in.

All depends on how you are viewed with the injuries. Still think your fine.
2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion $200,000 (2460 teams)

        2014 DFWC National Champion $9,250 (288 teams)
        2015 RTS Fantasy Championship 2nd Place $25,000 (3120 teams)

2015 NCAA Bracketology (351 pts more than all 136 at the bracket matrix)

        Kentucky Wildcats National Champions 2012 1998 1996 1978 1958 1951 1949 1948

You know, I've talked to tons of fanbases. Other valley fanbases, KU fans, Chiefs and Royals and Cardinals fans, fans of Kentucky and Louisville. This is the ONLY fanbase where I've seen with such absolute hostility towards negativity. Are you afraid that the tent will collapse if we don't pump it full of sunshine? Wichita State will never go back to what it was in 90s, we don't have to be delusional and aggressive. We have sucked, hard, two out of the last three games. Negativity is the natural reaction to that, not assuming we will win 6 or 7 of our last 8 games. I want us to win 14 in a row, but I just came away from a game that was as poorly played as any we've had in the last half-decade. I'm not going to be positive and full of sunshine and hopeful about our chances when I see something like that. When we were winning Valley games by 20 points a game I was happy and hopeful because the product on the court was good. When we are losing every other game I'm going to be negative and pessimistic because the product I see is bad. If you can't handle other Wichita State fans, maybe you are the one that doesn't want to be a part of the fanbase.

Why is the bubble weak this year? I was thinking that because the top 25 have lost more games to unranked opponents than any year since 1978, there would be more bubble teams with arguments boasting signature wins etc.

Ron and Fred both struggling but I have faith in them. As for next year, their absence will allow for the emergence of
CF, MM, SM, and others. We should have a more balanced team next season. To tell you the truth I am not sure that
we wouldn't be better right now with CF at point, Ron and Fred on the wings and ZB at the four. CF can create on the
perimeter better for himself and the wings. Not as good driving but I think he can force teams to double him and then
              kick to Fred and Ron.

              • Ron and Fred were better as underclassmen because they had seniors carrying the load. They are trying to carry the load now and we don't have the next Ron and Fred that act like they want to take over. Maybe Landry is that guy, maybe McDuffie, whoever it is, we need some guys to step up and help out now.

12 minutes for CF. Not because of shooting woes. Defense is non existent. Not the future.

Oh really? What about Phog.net ban hammering anyone who said a bad thing about anything KU. Any negativity and you were gone. That happened this year... Get outta here

I've seen them after a loss be FAR more negative towards Self and his players than I've ever seen on this board.

Right now teams like Saint Joseph's, George Washington, Oregon State, Cincinnati, Butler, Gonzaga, Florida State are all projected to make the field and teams like LSU, Wisconsin, VCU, Saint Mary's, Washington, Clemson are all projected to be either in or just outside the bubble.

I just listed 13 teams and 9 of them would currently be in the field (that number could drop if teams get upset in their conf tourneys that would become at large)

                        • KenPom drops us from 11 to 17. However, I'd like to see the PLAYERS take an attitude of "We can't lose anymore games!"

                          • St. Louis becoming increasingly more important. Just make it to the dance and then hope our
guys get hot at the right time and we play two halves of defense instead of one. We have
leadership that has done it before.

                              • This team just doesn't seem to be playing with any urgency in my opinion. At least I'd say the upperclassmen don't look invested in the outcome. Hope I'm wrong and the urgency becomes apparent.
