Face it, if WSU has trouble with them after they played 16 hours earlier, no need to talk about at-large chances or anything farther.
UNI should take SIU and will be a challenge. However, if they can't put a middle of the Valley pack team away, whats the point in discussing higher aspirations?
UE and ISUR?
Who knows, but ISU has some of dumbest BBIQ players on the continent and another 16 point beat down should be standard fare on the menu.
See everyone who makes the journey there and do so safely.
There may be others, but don't know of anyone who has made the STL trip more seasons in a row than Yours Truly. This will be #19 and hopefully #2 Championship.
That is all.
All that being said, you are right. We should win this thing in statement fashion.

I really hope we win it this year. Remove all doubt. And hey, if we are leaving for greener pastures this year it would be nice to leave with a sweep.

Why does the league still play the tournament a week early? For big regional Fox coverage and cbssports Semi-Finals? Oh, and if you're lucky CBS might show most of the final?
Compressing the basketball calendar by an entire week is a huge mistake for that joke of a media package. I'm also convinced that in situations involving MVC at-large candidates, it hurts them to play themselves onto the national narrative and then sit idle for a week only able to be passed.

However, I would counter that it would be more beneficial to have that week spread out over the course of the season. The Valley plays an 18-game grind compared to many leagues' 16-game schedule, and the league does it in 1 less week. I would be a fan of either decompressing the league schedule, or starting the slate a week later in an effort to give teams more flexibility for non-conference scheduling.
