After all, how should I react when I try to explain why something is or isn't, but I get flamed for offering my opinion? I don't feel that I'm the only one that is at fault here, and I'll own my part, but I still stand by my statement

Just curious, was OldRebelGeezer1 thru 49 taken?"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

I know I'm thrilled that last year's trend of solo-hijacking game threads to defensively discuss the finer points of officiating ad nauseum has been rejuvenated.Last edited by Play Angry; December 10, 2015, 03:41 PM.

My only problem with officiating is inconsistency. If you're going to call something a foul at the beginning of a game, call it a foul at the end of the game, and call it on both ends. If you're not going to call something a foul at the beginning, don't call it a foul later. The things I've seen this year that I hated the most is how one official can watch a guard basically get hugged one time down the floor and swallow his whistle and then the next time down the floor he barely gets touched and the same official calls a foul. All I hope for is consistency. And I haven't seen a whole lot of that so far this year. Last night I was there, so didn't see replays or have the best views of all the calls, but I did see plays that were near mirror images of each other that were and weren't called at different points in the game. And I'm not talking about they called the foul on us and not on them. I mean once it was a foul on us and the next time it wasn't. Inconsistency makes it too difficult for the players to know how to play."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."
