So if he can't get to the right spot or position defensively, tell me how he would be an asset on the court (aside from the obvious issue of aggravating the injury he's nursing).

I'm not worried about Tulsa, but to say that if Tulsa had been our first game instead of our second and to further state that he would have been playing would be the type of comment you might hear from someone who didn't watch the game.

I think he won't play against Tulsa and we'll be just fine. We have two freshman guards who are talented beyond their years who have had to practice against him and Ron everyday. I think we'll hold our own at guard and our frontcourt is clearly better and deeper than theirs is.

IIRC, Tulsa only beat Central Arkansas by 17. I think Charleston Southern is a much tougher opponent than Central Arkansas.
Well said. Same lineup as game 1. If we can't beat Tulsa with a combination of Ron, Sham and TT at PG then we have issues. Let the combination of 3G's recruiting and coaching play out. Playing Fred without him being at least 95% healthy would be foolish and probably result in weeks of injury rehab. It's not worth it.

The silver lining in the injury is that we have been practicing without Fred and will go into battle with each player knowing what his role will be. We fought through injuries in our Final 4 year and came out the back end a better team for it. Hopefully this setback will only make us stronger. We beat this same team by 20 pts last year, I say we can still win by 10 without Fred.

They figured some things out about halfway through the season last year. Keep in mind they had a new coach and were still adjusting, and that game was in Wichita. I expect a much sterner test this time around.

Tulsa at one point early in the 2nd half was only up 1 point, 44-43. So, if by their definition we "struggled" against Charleston Southern, then they "struggled" too. Outside of that, to say Charleston Southern is a much tougher opponent than Central Arkansas is a huge stretch, Charleston Southern got smoked from the get go by Stanford.

I don't have any problem with Gregg holding out Fred. That may be smart (I don't have the inside info. To make this decision but Gregg does. However we are playing a Top 50 team. This will be a tough game. Georgetown lost to a much lower team.

This is exactly what I think.

And I think we are who I think we are.

                I think, therefore I am, I think.

But then, Georgetown is certainly no WSU these days.

Can we really trust KWCHWill? After all, isn't he the double-agent-beaker-plant who hates us? /sarcasm off.

While all true, others have posted that he practiced and is doing better shortly after :)

I thought I heard there will be no Coach's Show because of the game Tuesday.
