Great apples to oranges comparison there champ.
I am completely confused where you are going with this Fever? Are you saying that Temple should be ranked based on their win last week over SMU? We should ignore the 7 loses they have because that was earlier in the year? You have to take the composite when comparing rankings. Could you please provide me with a single ranking system that only takes into account how teams played during the last week?

    • Or, In the case of KU, how they've played the last 3 weeks...

You don't know about the Hot Garbage Metric? The HGM is sort of an inverse ranking system, where you don't want to be in the Top 50. Mostly it is comprised of 'garbage' and 'hot garbage' votes from posters in the Games of Interest thread, though 'stinking pile of rat dung', 'flaming dumpster fire', 'lost to a non-WSU Valley team', 'BigLeast', and 'Creightonesque' votes also contribute to the overall HGM rating of a team.

And for much less money too -- what a bargain, Shocks!

KU sits at AP #4, and now has four losses; here's a ranking sampling of other programs that a few might have heard of before who currently sit with three to five loses:

            #12 Michigan State, 4 losses
            #16 Louisville, 3 losses
            #18 Arizona, 4 losses
            #19 Indiana, 3 losses
            #20 Kentucky, 4 losses
            #24 Duke, 5 losses

The nearly completely lack of penalization that KU gets in the polls due to losses can only be considered mystifying, especially when you look at the treatment that everyone else - including blue bloods and those very close - receives.
To be fair Kentucky has some bad losses vs Ohio State, at Auburn and at LSU and at UCLA are not so great losses too so they are ranked where they should be. The Big 12 is considered the best conf so when you lose on the road in the big 12 they will still give you credit. Too bad Oklahoma lost that 4 OT game at Kansas.

Gotcha. I tuned in in the 2nd half about the time Iowa State was taking it s 1st lead. In any case, it was pathetic.

I know Wisky was bad early, but are they bad enough for the P5 honks not to have them leapfrog us if they win this game? I know nothing about what's going on with them.

Yes. They are 11-9. They won't be ranked this year. They could sneak into the tourney with a miracle run, but that's probably about it.

                          • Wow up 7 points with 24 seconds left and lose the game ? You don't see that every day. Sucks that ESPN cut away and I missed the final shot.

If Wisconsin/Indiana turns out the same way as Wake Forest/Virginia, I assume you won't be posting within the last two minutes of games for the rest of the season? ;)

                              • One rule in college has got to change. Every time at the end of the game they go to review the clock teams get free timeouts and can draw up plays. Virginia may have won this game because they got to draw up a play at the end. I seen Marquette beat Butler in the NCAA tournament in similar fashion a few years ago because of checking the clock and allowing Marquette to set up a final play. They need to keep the players on the court and away from the coaches or how about get it right the first time and stop having so many reviews. Years ago we seen plenty of games without all the stops and reviews we are reviewing and adding tenths of seconds now back in the day you just played on. Too many games affected because of these stoppages.
