They probably should; results, not the reason for the results, are what counts. It will be nice to have some very high value games in-conference.

      • UNLV trails Arizona by 8 at half.

Sidenote. This game has the exact same referee crew as when they played us.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

And a very weak inside game. Why can't UNI go undefeated?

            • UNI, good coach, good players who can shoot the lights out if you let them get comfortable. They are the hottest team in the Valley at this point with two wins over top 5 teams, we have a couple of nice wins ourselves. We've been hampered by injuries and haven't really jelled yet, but we have shown some flashes of what made us a top 10 pre-season pick. Glad UNI is doing good. As bad as the perception of the Valley is, the top teams will be a test for us especially on the road. At least the Valley has picked up a few nice wins against the Big 12...

              • It would be nice if WSU and UNI can achieve separation from the MVC pack similar to last year once league play starts. The poor sisters have had a very bad OOC and the margin for both teams is slim, but if we both take care of business (15-3 or better and a meetup in the finals in STL) then the MVC should again be a multi bid league this year.

UNI can dance with 3 MVC losses. That would put them around 38 RPI, with 2 likely wins against the top 25. We cannot. We'd be around 50 RPI, and we just don't have enough quality wins to offset that. Our only golden ticket is Utah, and they are projected to finish at 55 RPI.

                        • Evansville ended up beating Fresno 85-77 which was a decent win considering they were favored to lose. They are now in the top 100 in the RPI but they played absolutely noone besides Providence in the Non Conference.

                              • Southern ends up beating SIU easily 65-52 in St. Louis. They may be a handful this year especially in Carbondale. Loyola hangs on to beat WIU at home 72-67.
