And here Creighton thought they needed Big East recruits to win in their fancy league. Looks like you could get by with 'couldn't cut it in the MVC' recruits.

*I'm aware Derail Green could cut it in the MVC, just not at WSU right now. I just find the "such-and-such league level recruit" crap hilarious. WSU has no trouble competing nationally with 'MVC recruits'.

If SIU were to get swept by the Shockers but win the rest of their games, they would miss the tournament. If they went 1-1 against WSU and won every other game, they would be on the bubble, and probably the wrong side of it. That schedule is an embarrassment.

Great for Derail saw that he was 5 of 6 from 3 in the game. I also saw that on Tuesday Incarnate Word lost to Lady of the Lake, apparently that is a school. The mighty Big Least.

7 Valley teams in action starting with the Shocks this morning.

Who knows what ISUr (+7.5) will do at St Joes, Missouri State (+14.5) has a chance to take another step forward at Valpo, Loyola (-13) should roll at home vs UIC, Drake (+16) is likely to get shelled in the undercard game against Iowa in the Big 4 Classic, while UNI (+8) could easily show up a hugely overrated Iowa State club in the feature game. Indiana State (+3) rounds out the Valley schedule in Chaifetz Arena against St Louis at 7 tonight.

MSU would be no more than a 1 or 2 point dog against Valpo at home right now. Valpo is good but hardly great. I'll take the Bears +14x. With Drake and UNI fans outnumbered for sure, Valley teams are essentially on the road in 6 of 7 games.

Time for the MVC to have a day where they look better than they really are (for a change). Cover at least 5, win at least 4.
