I've watched AZ. St. a couple times this year. Willie? Not bad. But definitely could/would not for Gregg. Next year's guy who was "considering" a basketball future or fun in the sun.....YES!!!

Perusing the UNLV discusions prior to our game, it seemed a common complaint was Rice blowing 2nd half leads.
He is once again proving himself to be a great recruiter and not much else. I think if I was a UNLV fan, I'd be calling for his head. They'll never be as good as the 90-91 team. But then again, no one will.

Is it really that hard to recruit to Vegas?
Is it?

Well Cle mentioned he came to Wichita because basketball is king and he could focus on his hooping. I wonder if some kids avoid Vegas because of perceived distractions.
Exactly. Pretty sure Rice is much less of a recruiter and Vegas is much more of a recruiter. And if he can't hang his hat on recruiting, then he's pretty much not great at any aspects of coaching.

I think it draws a certain type of athlete. The flash and flair type (ie the dunk contests before hand). It doesn't necessarily draw people that want to grow as a player and as a team.
