They won't. Texas beat that juggernaut known as Vanderbilt.

      • One problem with replay is what happened in the Marshall / UAB game. Refs miss a foul in a 1 point game with 1.8 seconds left and the ball was given to Marshall but review gives it to UAB because of replay this in the old days was the old no foul but you keep the ball situation but now you don't get the foul or the ball because of replay.

Exactly! Referee discretion in the final two minutes is out the door on these types of plays. It is common for refs to call out of bounds incorrectly instead of calling a foul on close calls.

          • After this beatdown, expect the Big 12 to start scheduling its conference vs. conference matches against the SWAC.

I'm with you but it's a losing battle, small sample size and all that. Just because I ran a red light once and didn't burst into flames doesn't mean I won't the next time.

Stats make it much easier to compare and contrast teams in a league where so many teams exist and people just don't have time to watch every single game but they don't tell the whole story. Unfortunately to know the truth you have to watch the games and understand what you're looking for. That's much more difficult and time consuming than pointing out that one number is larger or smaller than another number. I like to use my eyes to form an opinion then cross check it with the data. WVU may be 1 in adjusted defense but based on what I've seen if you can break the press they're not that great in half court.

Especially hard for Big 12 teams.

                        • Georgia Tech is some sort of bad in the last 5 minutes of games this year.

Andy Katz just told me that the committee would consider Syracuse's record with/without Boeheim on the bench and that it would work in their favor. Are you freaking kidding me? He was SUSPENDED, by the NCAA itself, for being a GIANT CHEATER. Why the hell should they receive a break for that?

I heard that last night I was like what a joke he is suspended for cheating and they will give the team a break. What really sucks about the major conference teams like Syracuse and Clemson teams that sucked in the non conf then get to play all these conf games that if they just win some of them they will be in the discussion or get an at large bid after sucking in the non conf. How about Clemson having a non conf schedule in the 300s and non conf RPI in the 250s and came into today with an RPI of 85 but because they were 6-3 vs top 50 (5 being home wins vs ACC teams) they were projected by most to be in the field. Take a team like Monmouth for example they win on the road at UCLA and G'Town and neutral court wins over Notre Dame and USC but because they play in a terrible conf every loss in conf is going to be a bad loss and they lost 3 road games to bad teams so now most have them as a 12 seed auto bid team. It's like they expect all these teams to go 20-0 or 19-1 in conf or something. It's ok for teams to lose at bottom feeder ACC teams but not ok for teams like Monmouth, Little Rock ect to lose road games in their conf even to mid range or high ranking teams.

                              • The reason the big 12 is tough, is because one of the teams has to play on the road.
