Just reviewed some of their KenPom stats. Trimble is a better offensive threat in terms of scoring the ball, but definitely does turn it over more (5% higher turnover rate, which, while significant, doesn't make him a turnover machine by any stretch).
Fred is probably the better overall point guard by a little bit, but it depends what you need. If you don't have a ton of other offensive threats, Trimble might be the best option. If you need a facilitator to get the ball to scorers, FVV would be the best option.

I was afraid Jay Bilas was going to cry if the Terps didn't win. His love affair with Trimble is beyond a man crush. That being said, I think "Car"Melo is a great scorer and a great athlete. I just don't think he's an elite POINTGUARD."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

I have a feeling that all of our losses are going to turn out to be not so bad. Our schedule will end up being fairly strong and it will all work out.
It's gonna be so fun watching the ship turn back in the right direction. It's gonna make WSU an even more popular team this year.
I can't wait to watch Fred again. Does anyone else remember the last minute or two of the first half against Tulsa? Think that may have helped us pull out of a couple of those one-possession games in Florida?
Yeah
