I'm not certain of the meaning based on context, but it sounds like Shamet and Taylor have shown they're "got to play" guys. I'd suspect that from Shamet, but that's awfully encouraging about Taylor. That's if I'm getting the right meaning from the words.

In the context, I don't think Marshall was saying that those two have made the case that they should be playing, but that if they do so, that would have an impact on where Conner plays. While I strongly believe that Marshall was giving a hypothetical about what Shamet and Taylor might do, not what they have done; it is probably encouraging that Taylor has shown enough for Marshall to entertain the possibility that such a hypothetical could occur.

So, who really is even an option on the table for this looming "redshirt" anyway?

Nurger, Hamilton, McDuffie, Taylor, Shamet, Brown, Kelly, Wamukota, Van Vleet? and yeah, I'm listing everyone who even possibly could. It helps me to narrow it down to who is most likely.

If that is the list of the people who even CAN, then I'm going with Hamilton, Taylor and Nurger in that order. I think Coach went to the trouble of putting a comment out there on this topic because Hamilton is probably really emotional and might take it really hard or something. My opinions are flippant and subject to change without notice.

Wasn't Wamukota injured? Maybe it's about to get crazy up in here.

Can't you technically never "say" someone is redshirted, but if the season ends and they literally never played, you can still proceed as if you had?

I'm excited. Nothing gets Shockernet going like a good redshirt conspiracy...

I think we need to start making the case for Evan to return due to his medical issue his freshman year. He played a couple games too many, but I bet Kentucky could get him that extra year if they really tried.
