Evan was the least athletic Shocker recruit ever and undeserving of a scholarship (Conner will probably be the next unathletic Shocker). EO was Mr. Universe and deserving of a man crush. Entertaining maybe, but not on the mark, except EO was put together very well.

I guess I should count myself lucky enough to not have been around to feel the need to choose a side. I agree with a lot of his takes, but I don't agree with all of his takes. On the other hand, I don't agree with ALL of very many people's takes, which is what keeps it interesting for me. As long as we are all on the same page as far as being Shocker fans, in my book at least, everything else is gravy.

Opinions of other posters might fall into the category of "not worth much."

If Cold's words are bothersome, you have at least two options - don't read or ignore.

I agree with both statements. If we are honest, this board is not very important in this world we live in. But in spite of that, I/we spend a lot of time on it.

In my opinion, this board is the best and he isn't on here anymore so I don't read them. Everything I stated came from a memory of statements. Some of them had some truth in them. Most of the time, he enjoyed being incendiary more than most. I really wish him well. RDR - I know that he was a special friend of yours and I apologize if I offended you. You are quite fair with your postings.

I pick on Cold but we have all done it. Jumped to a conclusion about someone by seeing a snapshot, not the whole movie.

I questioned FVV's quickness limitations as a freshman and he has made me look like a fool-not that l needed any help.

Pick up games and all star games rarely translate into a true example of the player's chapter in history.

In 1981, I watched a left handed small forward struggle and not score a single point at the McDonalds AA game right here in Wichita. Turns out Chris Mullin had a pretty decent college and pro career.

Let's all pause so I can show my youth and lack of knowledge.

A McDonald's All-American game was in Wichita?! I want to go to there.

I am willing to admit that I miss him. His summaries and commentary are generally fun, full of hype, informative and hilarious. On the other hand, he lacks a filter.
Heck my own brain is split right down the middle. The creative half of my brain looked forward to all of the witty Cold posts. But the logic portion of my brain constantly got cramps from cringing when he started unnecessarily letting the adjectives fly. Too bad he wouldn't dial it in, just a little.

1981- Jordan, Ewing, Mullin, Wennington, Branch to name a few

Game was here because our own Sherrod and Dreiling played in the game and we had a pretty good track record of McDonalds AAs from Wichita by then

Art Bunch was there with me and if I remember correctly we snuck our way down from the cheap seats to watch the game court side

Here is the roster of the McDonalds All Americans that year. Aubrey Sherrod scored 19 points and was named the Co-MVP of that game.

Flipping ridiculous how talented that game was....I was a whippersnapper...not even knee high to a grasshoppa when that game was played, but I'll always remember being there.
