No, Evan will come back no matter what. He has said he will be working towards his MBA, starting this summer.

    • The 4 position has a lot of competition... Brown, Kelly, McDuffie, Nurger & Hamilton... Sure some cOuld play the 5.. But it's a log jam none the less

Totally agree about Evan at the 3. He takes over TC's role to start the season but I see Zach coming in to spell him off the bench. Do you really see ZB at the 4? I'm hopeful McDuffie comes in and wins that spot this summer. I'd love to see one of our freshmen establish themselves right off the bat and force HCGM to start him. That being said, I don't see ZB spending a lot of time on the bench next season or at least I hope he doesn't. He really came on strong at the end of the season.

          Probably: Brown 3/4/2, Kelly 4, McDuffie 4/3, Nurger 5, and Hamilton 4/5.

A couple of years ago at the Volleyball 101 fundraiser, one of the stations had the machine that traces the flight of the ball. It was used primarily for setters to trace the flight of the sets, the purpose being to have the tracings be a single, consistent line. I think this would be useful for Evan becuse he is a great shooter when he has some arch n the shot, but fairly lousy when he shoots flat, which he tends to do when he rushes things.

That's what i see too. The minutes will depend on who is demonstrating the ability to perform at the other positions.

It looks like three returning starters with fourth starting spot going to Morris. Kelly and Brown will be in the rotation and competing with the newcomers for the fifth spot.

I like Wessel/Brown as the SF, but I'm not sure that Brown isn't one of the five best players on the team.

My recollection is that Lambo said that machine was developed for basketball and that is where he 1st saw it and came up with the idea of using to train his setters.

yeah, I believe he said it was used for shooting free throws, maybe. I just notice in pre-game shooting, Wessel shoots with a nice arch from the corner, but when he moves to the 45-degree, he shoots more flat.

                  • interesting you bring up his flat shot because during our game with KU, he was guarded by Perry Ellis. The announcers made a comment that Perry's height is making Evan put a nice high arc on the ball and we all know how that turned out.

I saw where Cuban was railing on the state of the college basketball game, and it's impact on weakening the league. This ^^^ right here is why. FVV isn't on anyone's radar, and Oubre is a lottery pick. And they wonder why I don't watch. One of those guys knows how to play actual basketball.

                              • Sadly, the vast majority of jayhawk fans consider this a win, validation and more important than what actually occurs on the floor.

I read a comment from an intelligent and sane ku fan (I know, hard to believe) in response to a ton of fans celebrating future NBA earnings. It went something like....

How much one of our players is going to make after they leave our program is a little further down my priority list than I guess most here.
