    Stickboy is correct.

The reason you've seen it with the c is because some people can't spell and others who are too lazy to look it up and confirm the correct spelling (i.e., "Frankamp") pick it up and perpetuate the mistake. Unfortunately, spellcheck doesn't rescue people on names, not that it would help many of our posters even if it did.

I don't expect that the problem will cause him to not start or to ride the pine constantly, just that I expect a few games where he gets two in the first half or 3 in the first 30 minutes.
It will take some strong concerted effort to play more than two minutes without fouling. In the 224 times Shaq entered the game, he played 147 of those without fouling, an average of 1:50. In the other 77, he fouled 1, 2 or 3 times before being subbed for.

      2nd and 3rd foul 2 2:24 1:12

      • He actually averaged a foul about every 4.6 minutes. 420 minutes played, 92 fouls.

        • GoShockers has made a pretty substantial update to the website. I visited today and noticed it was looking pretty nice.

Point being: Among the updates is that the roster section is already done. It looks completely different than what we are used to and photos and bios are already up, coaches and all. Pretty solid job if you ask me. There's even a nice photo stream going in the background of each players bio. I feel like it usually takes until September or even October before the roster is updated.

Even the known parts of the schedule are updated.

If they keep this up, I might start using GoShockers again. Shockernet pretty well eliminated my need to ever visit, but it's nice to see it humming along a little bit. Now if they could fix ShockerVision while they are at it. Who knows? Maybe this year will be different.

          • I couldn't find shockervision at all on the new site. I hope they didn't totally eliminate it. I used it to watch the women play. Not to mention my subscription is still paid up.

            • I'm still trying to get an RSS feed for goshockers.com to "my yahoo" page. Can anyone assist me with accomplishing that?

Think I read something to the effect that SV was to be no more after someone (CBS?) acquired web streaming rights for all Valley schools. I probably have that way off. If someone is really interested I imagine a pleasantly curious email to the AD would get an answer. I never used SV given the horrible comments on here, so sounds like it would be probably be a plus to take it out to pasture.

He was asking about "goshockers.com". This is the URL for the RSS feed:

Now, if the Shockernet links under Helpful Links (e.g. Men's Basketball) worked, we'd all be set. I can't recall if they've ever worked.

My recollection is that all streaming is now the responsibility of the MVC.

                          • College Sports Madness started their annual Top 144 countdown last month. So far, Loyola has checked in at #130 - no other MVC or OOC foes have hit the list yet. Bruce Weber's Kansas State Wildcats are set to reload yet again and currently slot at #134, one spot behind HCGM's former school, Winthrop.

It's a fun thing to check on a few times a week until we escape the doldrums portion of the offseason.

                            • I actually think Loyola should be a little better than that. They are a little under the radar. They have been on an uphill battle, but last year finished very well for them, and there is reason for hope. I'd love to see them crack the top 100.

So we'll see Loyola, ISUR, UE and UNI (no chance of SIU, BU, DU, MSU or ISUB) before our beloved Shocks make their appearance somewhere around November 10 I'd imagine?
