Most exciting and relevant tidbit of info thus far in the offseason. RK can be a beast for WSU.

    • Glad you posted this about Kelly 1972Shocker. While I only witnessed 1 set of scrimmages this summer, Kelly really caught my eye not even knowing what he was working on. It must be working because Kelly really got my eye that day and played tough against Grady. We will be tough inside as Shaq continues to develop and gain confidence and we already know Brown will be special.

Defensively I think FVV will again lead our team in steals followed closely by Mr. bad bad bad Baker. If a foe was packing in a zone on us, I suppose we could put in FVV, Baker, Frankamp, Brown and Grady to loosen things up where it gets all loosey goosey. Our most common starters could be Wessel FVV, Baker, Grady, and Shaq. At the end of the game when throws are paramount it could be the same but Frankamp instead of Wessel. We have so much quality depth it is scary-good for us and spooky-dim for our foes.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

We are so stacked at 2-4 it isn't even funny. At 1 (after FVV's final year) and at (true) 5 is where we need to find some nuggets moving forward.

To see Marshall throw a little praise his way mid-summer is a great sign. To see another young player get a little Play Angry in them before these seniors graduate is a really great sign.
At the end of the year, Marshall challenged Rashard. He said that he needed to do some work on his body, increase his defensive (lateral quickness and conditioning), and his shooting. He must have pleased Marshall and the coaches with his hard work after last year.

          • Markis Mcduffie has a new instagram with a recent pic in the locker room. He doesn't look overly big but he certainly looks strong.

Is it just me or do his hands look HUGE? You know what they say...

                • Football or basketball, either one -- big hands are a big asset.

I don't think I've seen it posted anywhere, but it appears that Rashard is back home helping his mom out while she is being treated for cancer. Not trying to go off topic, but the depth of high quality character individuals on this team is astounding

                    • I heard everyone went home for the last three weeks of the summer. Also, I wish Rashard, his mother, and his family the best!

The length from the bottom of his hand to the tip of his index finger under that ball looks comparable to the size of the ball itself. I bet that guy can catch a odd with one hand.

                          • Rashard Kelly averaged just 2.9 points per game last season. With Darius Carter and Tekele Cotton gone, he'll need to do more in 2015-16.

He looks pretty good with the ball, too.
