Most players at his height have some uncanny quality that makes an NBA team give them a shot; unbelievable vertical, incredible shooting, etc. I think of Patty Mills, who is crazy fast, as the best example of what FVV can do. I'm just not sure his abilities (which he DEFINITELY has!) shine through enough to have teams give him a shot. With that in mind, his best bet is to stay another year and test the waters after that. Personally, I like him as a potential coaching legend.

I think running practice squad point guard means he can run the point. Didn't they say they planned on using Frankamp as a DJ Balentine'esque practice member to help prep for players like that?

IIRC, Frankamp ran the point lthe last part of his Freshman season, and it had a settling effect on the team. Bringing in the freshman PG and Bill telling him he wouldn't start (I presume @ PG) was probably his biggest reason for leaving.
Plus he'll have had a year to refine those skills.
One thing is obvious...our underclass scholly guards didn't cut it.

If CF had never had an association with KU, and he had said during his freshman yr at North that he was leaning toward Wichita St., everyone on this board would be speaking differently here. We'd be talking about his HS stats, his work ethic, his representing the U.S. on a national team (and, I believe his being the leading scorer on that team), there wouldn't be any of this ..."well, just because he came from KU doesn't mean he's goons be any good" crap. The kid was a star recruit out of HS. Maybe he just didn't fit the KU system. Just give it the time it deserves, and make your judgement next November. I, for one, think he's going to bring some nice additional offensive threats to a pretty damn good offensive threatening team.

I don't think anyone on the thread today was talking negative about CF and KU. The thread Was speculating whether he could play PG, and I think he'd be a good one.
Probably better than CH. He's currently buried @ the end of the bench because he was a shoot-first PG. I don't know why R'ian got lost at the end of the bench, I don't think anyone saw him as anything other than a SG. Probably the log jam at that position, but I didn't see him even getting mop-up minutes late.

Which is hardly negative at all if you ask me. Totally out of left field.
Originally posted by TheYetiI think a "wait and see" approach to Connor would be best. Just because he came from KU doesn't necessarily make him good.
