Hopefully not the result of celebratory drunken one night stands.

      2. Knowing that Darius Carter would get to make a sweet sixteen during his time at WSU.
      3. The fact that HCGM called 1 (or maybe two timeouts) and that to avoid a five-second count while Self had burned through all of his with 6 minutes to play.
      4. Learning of FVV calling the player's to a huddle before they talked to the coaches. From the Eagle: “Don’t give the game away,” he said. “Let’s not celebrate yet. I promise when we win, you can celebrate as much as you want.”

I took offense to the official trying to shoo the players to the bench and not let that meeting happen. I would suppose that perhaps there is a rule that we must be on our half of the court, but I would think we're not required to huddle at the bench during a timeout.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

      • Fred is seriously capable of becoming a D-1 head coach in his late 20s if that is the path he so chooses. He is that good.

I don't remember for sure. I thought he called one in the first half, and I don't remember why.

What I do know is that the timeout to avoid the five-second count was HILARIOUS. It finally wiped the smug grin off Self's face (which, when you're as smug as he is, Self is really the perfect name). Self was pissed and it was hilarious.

He generally always calls a timeout in the first half as do all coaches. They have one use it or lose it time-out that does not carryover to the 2nd half.

            • I am not impressed with Crean as a head coach, but after this weekend, it seemed like he had a better game plan than Self.

I still think The Hairpiece is a great coach, but my goodness, HCGM just clowned him yesterday.

Some hilarious name tossing going on here. I read all the ideas to my wife and we got a big kick out of them! That being said the name has always been Ella Mercy.

                Nevertheless, go SHOX!

                • I am so proud of our players and Wichita State as an institution.

What Oubre did to Cotton with a minute and a half left in a game that was out of hand really shows the type of player KU is willing to have represent them as a university.

Man, if 3Gs passed on the touch to FVV, that would truly be incredible.

Stop it...really. Let's not be like KU fan that calls FVV dirty for the elbow that sent Ellis to the locker room. Oubre realized his mistake and tried to save Cotton, and even immediately came to try and help him up. It looked worse than what it was. Move on.

One was a collision where both players jumped into each other and were in the air. That one involved a player that has 9 inches on the shorter player having his face at elbow height of the smaller player.

The other involved a non-basketball play, at a moment in the game where even a good play would have been inconsequential. I guess I see how someone could defend Oubre by saying late-game emotions got the best of him. But I just don't understand someone acting like it was identical to the basketball play that FVV made?

Whatever, though. To appease you, I will stop talking about how great, humble, and kind our players are, and how incredibly proud I am that they represent the university I attended. Yep, Cotton is just like Oubre.

Even you separated your two thoughts in paragraph form, which was well done. Show me where I challenged your comment about how great, humble, etc...our players are. You are confusing yourself bud. "Cotton is just like Oubre." Ok, if you say so.

I think we can thank Tekele for that!

                              • Perry made a fairly good play there, but from where I was sitting, it looked like if he hadn't committed the first foul with his hand, FVV wouldn't have had to adjust his shot and there may never have been an elbow to the nose.
