Holland and Henderson are gone. Glass or Bush is gone. Glass and Bush are gone if we pick up a juco 5. There's just not enough scholarships to go around. Baker will be back. Wessel well be back. Both on scholly. If Bush/Glass were freshman, I'd say Nurger is gone, but they are juniors about to be seniors, so they go before Nurger.

more competitive next year. That's a good thing. I am going to go out on a limb with
my next suggestion. Early this season I saw RN make a very Kevin McHale like move
down low. At that time I thought to myself, whoa, THIS is our answer to a future low
post player. He never displayed that ability again but rarely was asked to post up during
the season. I think the ability is there. I am hoping he puts on 15-20 pounds of muscle
and becomes a strong low post player. If that could happen we go from a sweet 16 threat
to a F4 threat the next THREE seasons.
I'm there with you on Nurger. I really thought early this season that he has the chops to be a great presence down low. Uhhh. Well I guess we will have to wait to find out. Dude is an excellent athlete for a big. I sure hope he figures it out. Plus, I am just pulling for anybody from Sunrise. I love that unique setup we have them.

So the solution to inexperience at the post is to get rid of guys who have a year in the program and replace them with players who are less experienced and unproven? That doesn't make sense to me.

Obviously, the Shockernet recruitng staff is MUCH better at evaluating incoming talent this spring than last spring. I think it's called a Mulligan, or Do Over..

Does Markis have a better chance of starting at the 3 then Eric does at 4?

            That was the question.

I don't think either will start but both will contribute. Someone mentioned FVV, baker, zb, Wessel, Morris will be the starting five. I agree that Marshall will go with experience. Don't forget, early was awesome his junior year and he came off the bench. The 6 and 7 are just as important as the 1-5

Lol, right. I'm sure a lot of the posters who can't get wait to get rid of certain players are the same ones who wanted to get rid of Lufile last year. And now, coincidentally, they're the same ones lamenting the fact that we don't have a player like Lufile this year.

I think ZB is our 3. And if MM is next year, we are gonba be really really good and MM will be All Valley good!

Don't make assumptions just based on recent playing time. There may be another player or two or three who would like to move closer to home.

Certainly. I base my simple opinion on nothing but playing time, years of eligibility remaining, and program needs. Nurger is a great example. He had talent and is a freshman. Him staying makes sense over one year of Bush/Glass. But he's 22 and from another continent. He may decide to go home and get paid well to play ball in Europe. That's hard to judge.

If Bush was a freshman, he'd stay. But as a junior, I just don't see how he's far enough along to be an impact 5. Lufile wasn't special offensively, but the guy was athletic and quick, better offensively than Bush, and played with Cle.

The majority of RN's tweets involve his GF or Re-Tweets from his GF. She goes to WSU. That means either A: will make him stay, or B: Make him leave if they break up ... Yes, thats the useless fact of the day for you.

This is my opinion, I know everyone has an opinion on how this will work out. I don't see Nurger or Wamukota going anywhere. As of right now we have three centers for next season, Shaq and those two guys. If one of them leaves, we only have two centers. What if one of those guys gets hurt? Then we have one true center. I can't see HCGM going that route.

Does anyone want to see R Kelly, T Glass, McDuffie, Hamilton, or Wessel play at center? I know I don't.

I'm not sure how the scholarship situation is going to work, but I just can't see one of the centers being pushed out the door. If one does decide to leave, I sure hope Marshall has an adequate replacement in mind.

You know a line-up I'd like to see on occasion next year would be...

                              Fred @ Point (duh)
                              Baker @ 2 (duh)
                              6'8" McDuffie @ 3
                              6'-9" Hamilton @ 4
                              Wide Body ShaQ @ 5

Due to learning Mashalls defensive schemes...we probably won't get much of a chance to see that...but if those 2 newbies could pick it up quicker than this year's newbies....it'd be cool to see that for a few minutes against Sister's of the Poor or some school like that.

btw...I too think Brown will be a "player" at Wichita. That kid looks to be a real stud!

The 3 will be by committee: Wessel, Brown and McDuffie

Time will tell about the 4. That is the biggest ? of all. We have bodies but...
