Is that the prevailing assessment on B. Bush?

I forgot about him. I think he is there and may start at the 3. But his minutes are going to decline.

He is a wildcard to me. He has ability, but it is starting to be passed by raw talent. If the talent develops it would be greater than his motor.

CF and Henderson get lots of minutes at the 1 and 2. MM and ZB basically own the 3. MM sometimes at the 4. RK, Glass and Hamilton rotate around the 4 and 5. Shamet, and the rest get time sparingly.

Shox win the Valley. Don't even go to St Louis, and win the NC!

Marshall would rather have more depth and play more players. In tighter situations he will revert to players that he trusts (experience). This year he trusts Baker, FVV, and Wessel more than their counterparts. Someone would have to show Gregg that they won't turn the ball over at the end of tight games for Coach to play them before Evan.

We got limited contributions from our freshman class, and zero from our sophomore class (and that will haunt us for a while).

We really don't even have a SO class. 2 Walk-ons and one was injured. I don't see that "haunting" us. I see our Freshman learning more earlier in their careers which might actually help us long term.

I think he means since we don't have any sophomores on scholarship, we therefore don't have a recruiting class for the 17-18 season unless somehow one or two open up.

Holland, Henderson, and Glass or Bush W are gone. Maybe Glass and Bush if we find a Juco 5. Wessel, baker still around and on scholly. Fvv, Baker, Brown, Wessel, shaq start.

A bit harsh, but very likely correct, imo.

The fact that a player like Tevin struggles to ever see the floor on this team is testament to what a monster HCGM is building/has built at WSU. There were so many years where he would have been the 2nd or 3rd best guy on the roster in the 90s and early 00s.

Next year is NOT the year to be a player on the fence with this team. Next year is our last year with Baker, Van Vleet and Wessel and any coach is going to approach that year like a once in a long time "title run" kind of year. If you don't have the pieces in place, you do everything you can to sort that out. It's pretty obvious a few of these guys don't seem to be instilling that kind of confidence.

I wouldn't want to be an underperforming player during the next few months.
We do have a handful to pick from though

Even if we get a juco 5, we don't know how fast they'll pick up the speed of the game or their teammates trust. I see holland and Henderson leaving before bwam. He's gotten more minutes lately, H&H haven't seen the floor for awhile. Bwam will be in the system for a full year and offseason and we need 5 depth. Chances are he stays

Henderson, Holland, and Glass surely are aware of their situations. Three pretty good
players but I think their lack of PT doesn't bode well for them. I'll say it again. CF and
ZB are going to play significant minutes next season. EW also. Practices will be even
more competitive next year. That's a good thing. I am going to go out on a limb with
my next suggestion. Early this season I saw RN make a very Kevin McHale like move
down low. At that time I thought to myself, whoa, THIS is our answer to a future low
post player. He never displayed that ability again but rarely was asked to post up during
the season. I think the ability is there. I am hoping he puts on 15-20 pounds of muscle
and becomes a strong low post player. If that could happen we go from a sweet 16 threat
to a F4 threat the next THREE seasons.
