I agree, but why can we only have one "hustle chicken"? Seems like we always have a EW, Hatch, etc....but are hustle and production
    always separate?

Why should you need a 6'4" guy to show a bunch of 6'6"+ athletes how to rebound?
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Zach played the 4 for a lot of the game tonight. They play 4 guards. Evan is a big against Drake.

We talk about losing Cle. However, when we had Cle in there at the same time with Carl Hall our Final 4 year, we were bad, bad, bad boys inside. Rim protectors, rebounded like rock stars, defended, and both players could score inside and out!!! Without Hall last Season, our big's came in and replaced Hall but it was done by committee.

          • If you still need some NYE cheer, Creighton is losing by 14 on FS1.

Remember when La Salle beat K-State at the Dance and did not seem to even know who were were? Carl Hall came out in that game and made his inside presence known from jump street inside and had his way with La Salle. Carl would post up, we fed him the ball, and he scored. He made it look easy but he was just solid and played like a lion that was caged up, let go, and wanted to hush up some folk with his game.

Maybe that was the problem for the Shockers in the game. Instead of going off on the refs the entire game, he should have used some of that time to go off on his own players.

Yes. We now know the reason for a marginal rebounding performance.

Ahh. Sweet memory. I loved watching Carl play -- what a beast!

Understand. Still don't think he would been the solution to our problems tonight...

Now that does make me cheery. Just like the other day I went for a drive and a dude motioned out with window that I was #1. At that point I thought some of us SN folk like WStateU should make a bumper sticker as follows. "How's my driving performance? U like? If not, call 1-800-yipes, stripes, beechnut gum!!!" Muhahahahaha!!!!!!!

Remember Matty B. making all them 3's here that Season to bury Creighton and we win the Valley Race. Then when we went to their barn as they were wording up, like sharks in search of blood, and we beat them down like a rented mules as their fans made the mad-dash way early to the exits. 3G liked that game too because it was playing at a basketball camp here that following summer on the score board.

                        • Wessel kept a lot of rebounds alive even when he didn't get them. His effort play spread to others. I predict that Coaches drills may have some football pads involved (since he mentioned bruises).

All I know is that we played better when Wessel was playing than we have since he was injured.

Yep. What's the one thing about the team that was different for all of our last three games where we have struggled? It could be as simple as that. In fact, I remember the team really starting to struggle even in the second half with Alabama. Well, he left at the end of the first half.

And that is a sad statement with two preseason All-Americans, Tekele and Darius still playing..

If Darius can't find beast mode, maybe he needs to spend some time with Shaq in Wichita...

I agree. We need more big bodies up front. I can't believe Drake had that many rebounds. UGH!!!!!
