It's not just a WSU issue. The KU GA/Student Section has been 3/4 full most every game this year except for the Florida game.

Saying it on here is just preaching to the choir. I think everyone here agrees with that, there needs to be an incentive to use those tickets once you have them. If getting to see one of the best basketball teams in the country isn't enough, then maybe they should try the money deposit that others have suggested. It'd be a pain, but those seats NEED to be filled.

If I'm trying things, I'd eliminate guest passes until 72 hours before gametime.
If that's not enough then move to only issuing single game tickets.
Those are easy things that don't require changes to any processes outside of the distribution of tickets, requires no cash deposits, and no implementation of a "3 strike system". Those things can all be evaluated in the offseason.
And when students complain, say that the previous approach wasn't getting all the tickets used, so the students lost out on their posh deal. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

The good news is that we're concerned about at most a few hundred seats in a loud arena that's otherwise full.
The bad news is that there are still far too many students apprenticing to be corporate fat cats who don't use their seats either. Wufan has a good question: if the student seats are truly GA, there ought to be a way for people who will actually show up and use them to access to them.

Even if those were all students, if you packed them all together, the entire area above the band would be completely empty.Last edited by DPruett2333; December 10, 2014, 10:35 AM.

Not sure if they're changing ticket rules, but I saw on Twitter last night that they're doing a tent camp out for Marshallville for the Alabama game.
