They're still going to avoid Thursday night, but that's just because MoSt, Drake, SIU, and Bradley are absolutely awful.

They're still better than Creighton this year, but this is why you have to take a team's success with a grain of salt based on SOS. That's still a 6th place Valley team.
Milton Doyle has missed the last two games. Anyone know how long he is expected to be out?

Fortunately they at least brought a good number in for the MVC to chew up. It beats the heck out of bringing in a 200-300 number. I will still be able to give them that at the end of the day.

I wouldn't even argue their case anymore now anyway. I started thinking about Moser when I was looking at the 50 situation. I think Loyola will finish this year around 150 honestly and that's still okay.
Definitely. Any RPI top 150 team in the Valley is a net plus to the conference as far as I'm concerned. I'm very happy with Loyola's performance this year.

Just worth noting that our happiness with their performance is relative, and it doesn't actually make them a good team. They're just not a bad team. And that's perfectly okay ;)

The problem with the Valley is that we have four legitimately bad teams.

      • I thought Texas would win this game today but guess not. I have to wonder how Kentucky was able to destroy Kansas 72-40.

Because Kentucky is the best team in the country by a significant margin, and KU isn't?

Texas is a very streaky team. I lost any faith in that team after watching their pathetic performance in a 21 point home loss to Oklahoma. They can be very good when they're on, and very, very bad when they're off.

Kansas is a much better team than earlier in the season.

It would be cool to see TCU and TTU win both of these games today. There's a lot of riff raff in the Big 12 hovering around the Shockers in the polls lately.

Plus I'd like to see UNI jump some of them.

                        • Tulsa hangs on for a 66-64 road win at East Carolina to go to 7-0 in the American. Hurricanes could move into the Top 25 next week.

That too. I can't believe Tulsa

                            • Looks like Marquette just forced overtime with Georgetown on a buzzer beater from Matt Carlino. I remember that guy.

Two things. If Marquette wins this in OT they will keep Georgetown at bay from the top 25, helping Tulsa and UNI a little and they will also further the gap between the entire big east and creighton :)

                              • TCU blows a golden opportunity for an upset at WVU in overtime. TCU led 80-75 with a minute to go. WVU hit a couple of treys late including one with 11 seconds left to take an 85-84 lead. TCU, however, scord with 3 seconds left to retake the lead at 86-85. A foul on TCU with 1 second left gave WVU 2 free throws. They made them both and won 86-85.
