      • Alabama's season came to an end today with a loss at Miami (FL) 73-66 in the NIT. I imagine the Alabama players were a little down with the firing of Coach Grant.

        • Chris Jans and his Bowling Green team's season came to a somewhat inglorious ending today as they lost by 23 (82-59) in the CIT today.

BGSU finished the season at 21-12 (11-7) losing 6 of their last 10 games. All-in-all though a good start to his D-1 head coaching career.

          • Illinois St, Evansville, and Loyola all in action tonight at 7 in their respective tournaments. Not sure of TV/streaming options

            • Redbirds just lost by 1 to Old Dominion (49-50) because they couldnt hit any threes (23%) and couldn't hit any free throws (43%... Yes, forty three percent). That sure wasn't the case when they took us out. Of course, in hindsight I am very happy with the events that have transpired ever since.

Oh, and Loyola and Evansville won.

              • Tulsa is getting boatraced 59-35 by Murray State with 13 minutes remaining in their NIT game. And that game is in Tulsa.

                CBI: ORU 78 @ Loyola 86

                CIT: Evansville 83 @ E. Illinois 68

                • The Illinois State game at Old Dominion must have been pretty fugly. Not a lot of turnovers but both team shot the ball poorly.

Illinois State was 19-49 (38.8%) including 4-17 (23.5%) on treys and 7-16 (43.8%) from the line.

Old Dominion was 20-55 (34.6%) including 5-17 (29.4%) on treys and 5-11 (45.5%) from the line.

Maybe both teams were just outstanding on defense, especially the free throw defense.

Murray State is a dang good team. If the committee took HCGM's suggestion and looked at wins rather than quality losses, they'd be in the tournament.

Seen the Ill St ending, they almost pulled off a Vandy style full court pass and layup on final last second play. Wow so close!

They ACTUALLY didn't beat anybody. Illinois State at home was their only top 100 win (and the only team ranked 50-100 they played). Second best win was at #118 Evansville. Also lost to #50 Valpo on a neutral court and at #30 Xavier as well as to #105 Belmont and #239 Houston.

Freshman Mikyle McIntosh missed those two free throws and then fouled an E. Illinois player with around 4 seconds left. The E.Illinois player the missed the front end of a one & one, the Redbirds John Jones rebounded but the Redbird's Justin McCloud turned the ball over with 1 second left to finish off the game.

                            Hahaha, awesome.

Congrats to the Redturds for making the Sweet 16, the NIT Sweet 16.

                            • Loyola won last night. They are still alive.

Be sure to catch Evansville against the ULL Chili Peppers tonight at 7:30. You aren't doing anything else so you might as well :)

                              • I couldn't figure out why Loyola would have three straight games next week against UL Monroe, and then I remembered that their tournament has a three game series for the title.

Loyola will play to win the CBI this week.

Evansville is in the semifinals of the CIT. 2 more wins from either team will do it and when you look at the names involved, I'd say the Valley will be winning these games. Evansville faces Tennessee Martin and then either Northern Arizona, NJIT or Canisius.
