It's so bleak that even Vegas, who is generally accurate, hasn't realized how bad the conference truly is?

Vegas' job isn't to be accurate. It's to make money.

And man, if MoSt drops this game to Texas Tech, I've pretty much written off the entire conference outside of WSU and UNI. MoSt can't lose this game if they're going to be a good team this year. And so far they look like a one person team, again.

Does Crean sucking at Indiana scare anyone? Is that a landing spot for our coach? I am convinced it would take something spectacular to pry HCGM away, but of all the schools, I think an opening at Indiana would be that job. As Jalen Rose says, "in 49 states, basketball is a sport, in Indiana it is a religion." I think Indiana fans like a hard nosed, defense first, disciplinarian type coach. The job would be far enough removed from Bob Knight to not cast too big a shadow. They would have enormous resources, (think Big 10 network.) Indiana scares me if the job opens.

Gregg HATES cold weather. I don't expect anything from up north to interest him. Just a hunch.

I call BS on saying Indiana treats basketball as a religion. So compared to The Hoosier State, Kentucky, Kansas, and North Carolina treat it as a hobby? Those empty seats at Evansville and Terre Haute prove otherwise.

Gregg will not go to a rebuilding project. Indiana would have to rebuild a bit.

Gregg might leave for another school. He has said it would have to be perfect. Indiana isn't perfect.

I disagree completely. Now I am not going to lose sleep at ALL, especially during the season. But Indiana is a top job for the right candidate. I think Marshall would definitely take a long hard look at that one.

But as I said. I am sleeping well at night. Definitely not gonna worry about it right now.

Crean's most likely safe for a while. His buyout this year is $12 million. A couple years from now it will be down to $4 million.
