Don't forget that they are picked 3rd in the MVC. A very very distant 3rd.

Mike Kennedy made the point in today's postgame that he thinks Indy St won't be finishing 6th, as picked. Lansing's teams are well coached and play hard. Now that we've seen Bradley and Swomo, maybe we can move Bradley to 10 and flip Indy St with Swomo

Good stuff. I'm sure their numbers will swell when they move to the Sun Belt.

It will probably be next year. Their football team is 4-6. They're headed for the Big time.

I hope this thread is as entertaining and fun as last years.

A school called Lewis leads 10th-ranked Illinois State 26-21 with 8 minutes left in the first half.

I hope we don't make this thread ourselves.

I would suggest a weak ass loss is anything to a Non D-1 team or with an RPI worse than 175 or the bottom half of D-1.

Gotta go to the gridiron to see the biggest loss. The biggest loss of the season so far is the loss of so many Sun Belt football fans in southwest Missouri. The state was teeming with them in August. And when their refurbished and expanded Sun Belt stadium opened in September, they set a record with over 18,000 Sun Belt fans on hand. Then came the losses. And the biggest loss has to be the loss of thousands of Sun Belt fans. In one month, it went from 18,000 strong to less than capacity at the Knapp Center.

                  That is a big loss!
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

So far Deontae Hawkins does have 6 rebounds. He also has more turnovers (3) than points (2) and is 1-9 from the field.

How can that be? Talk about your riches to rags stories, this might top them all. Heck, I think some of them were even talking back in August about skipping the Sun Belt and going directly to the Big 12.

Don't let this fool you. This is part of Muller's master plan to sneak up on the Shockers and take the conference championship.

Hawkins is now 1-10, but has added 1-2 from the line, so he now has 8 rebounds, 3 points, 4 turnovers.

The IlSU starting center and power forward (Lynch and Hawkins) are currently 3-19 from the field against a team that has no players taller than 6'8" (2 at that height) and only 1 player heavier than 220 lbs (which is what Ron Baker weighs).

Lewis is trailing IlSU by 9 with 2:21 to go, but they have shot 3-15 from the free throw line. If they were shooting even ~50% from the line, this would be a 4 point game right now.
