Amazing how the cutouts of their swimsuits spells out "SHOCK".

Waaa waaa. Shocker madness is on a Thursday, it hasn't been advertised, athletic department, waaa. I can't wait to see this team in person. The rest is just noise created by whiners.

I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion of "If Marshall wanted Shocker Madness to be..." every single year. I really don't care what night it's on and what all the "festivities" include, as long as there's a scrimmage and I can see the upcoming team's talents, that's all I want. I'm excited.

If you don't like whining, don't read this post.

Speaking as an out of towner, I'd appreciate it if Shocker Madness was (a) on a weekend, and (b) planned enough in advance that I could make arrangements to attend.

This just seems like another instance of WSU thinking all its fans and alumni live in or around Wichita.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Good simple post to the point. I'd send it to WSU's athletic department, the basketball department, or the Eagle sports/editorial (or all three).

I hate to do this, but KU fans knew when Late Night at the Phog was going to be back in June.

Why can't the Shocker athletic department let us know when Shocker Madness is going to be that far in advance? Why is it so difficult for them to schedule and promote this?

Yeah I heard Bill Self is going to ride in on a magic carpet this year. Or maybe they said rug. I don't know.

Honestly I'm glad we keep it low key. The extravagance of LNATP almost feels like the celebration the heat threw a couple of years ago when lebron signed.

I go to shocker madness to watch the team scrimmage. I don't want to see dunk contests, motorcycles, red carpets, djs, etc, etc. The three point shooting contest is OK.

But I can understand why the out of towners are frustrated about the late notice. That's certainly not unreasonable.

Probably because they would have to remind us every week so we wouldn't forget. And then we would just b**** about how the athletic dept was doing it. Another thought is just because the flagship does it doesn't mean that that is the way to do it.

Fans will get their first look at the 2014-15 men's and women's basketball teams on a night that includes championship rings, three point and slam dunk contests, and scrimmages.

                      Details are out

Let's call it Shocker Pre-Season Scrimmage. There has been no attempt at "Madness" since what? 07-08? When I remember Ramon Clemente coming out on a red carpet.

I like the event. It's just funny to call it Madness.

What are the odds of me getting out of my heartcath in time to make the slamdunk competition?

It's called Shocker Madness because Shocker fans always seem to get mad around this time of year.
