If you are hell bent to see the Shockers, choose that provider. If other factors are more important, choose the other providers. It is up to you.

Now if you live in an area that doesn't have an option that includes the Shockers, there isn't much you can do.
    Nope. You're missing the boat.

Hell bent on seeing the Shockers? You act like that's not a big deal to Shocker fans. And anyone that's a Shockernetter probably is considered to be a die-hard. And you act like it's not a big deal to see the team on simple television? What is this? 1990?

Choosing (or in this case sacrificing) a cable company to watch my team play should never have to happen. Why should anyone be monopolized into a communistic way of choosing a cable provider? That's horse ****. Put it on a format that is accessible to EVERYONE. That's pretty simple. But people continue to fail to grasp that.

    • All I know is , Living in RURAL Goddard, there is NO WAY to get COX, and it really sucks to be blacked out on ESPN3 for away games when I have DIRECT TV with ALL the espn feeds, but it's on cox so I cant get logged in.
From the road I listen (Tune In radio) at home I watch ( season Ticks )

How has the arena helped DT ICT? It has spurred essentially zero nearby development. St Francis and Commerce Streets are still dumps only a hipster could love, and IBA remains adjacent to a work release center and an abandoned used car lot. And based on subsequent development DT I'm not sure how you could say it has had a tangible impact on the DT sector. DT Wichita 2014 is DT Wichita 2009, only now we have an oddball arena plopped down in an non-vibrant, ugly, no-mans-land region of DT.

I'm going to dream here a bit, but the following could have actually happened with proper community leadership: If Carlos Mayans had not run off Bass Pro, and we had a top shelf BPS facility sitting where that Gander Mountain pole barn is now, then Waterwalk actually would have likely developed in a manner as planned and hoped. Then you plop the new, shiny, 'normal' DT arena down right across Main from WW (one of the original, suggested sites) and DT Wichita would actually have a level of developmental synergy it has never seen. Sadly, none of this happened. What actually happened was the worst case scenario in all regards, courtesy of the people who draw a check to supposedly further this community.
I've said that for years. If you build it (Bass Pro), they will come (other development)! Should have ponied up the incentives Bass Pro wanted - would have been worth every penny. I also think development would be thriving if Ruffin could have put his casino along the river, or how about Dave Bayouth's concept of the casino built over the river. ICT would have had that OKC-like waterwalk!

Yes nice outfit but that skirt was so short it was -- well, very short.

Edit: "complaining" is probably a strong word.

Don't think so. This looked like a student manager on the WSU bench.

Just write the check for sponsorship. Make certain that you make it big enough so our Shocker fans serving us in the Middle East have it available to them also, since they are part of EVERYONE.

HBO doesn't work that way. The NBA network doesn't work that way. Radio doesn't work that way. It is pretty simple though. Everybody wants everything for everybody for no cost. Damn the free enterprise system.

Communism would either have it for everybody or for nobody. Free competition is what drives the economy and, in this case, the local television market.

She was the talk of our group of fans. We were down on row AA behind the goal by the Shocker bench.

Let's just say that if she didn't bend at her knees, the game wouldn't have been the only show on the court. That dress was S-H-O-R-T.

I do have Cox but I do drive 2 hours to every home game, also. Not EVERYONE can live in Wichita, however, so I accept that.

btw, for years, I had no TV OR radio access to the Shockers, and Cox doesn't show all the games. I still don't get clean audio here. Fortunately, the change from 1330 to 103.7 for the post-game show allows me to listen to most of it, instead of having to give up around McPherson. Would I pay to have radio? Sure, but I don't have the option. That is just UN-AMERICAN. EVERYONE should have the option.

So I thank you in advance for bring this up, completing a feasibility study and writing whatever check is necessary to satisy both our needs, and the service men and women around the globe.

                          • Are you seriously comparing radio coverage in McPherson in the 90s to television coverage in Wichita (the city the school and core fanbase is located in) in 2014?

I knew the answer was yes. You're gonna defend it to the end because there's no drawback to you anymore.

I already stated that I would pay a premium to see WSU games if I could, but there is NO option.

It's not a difficult concept to grasp that this a shitty deal for the majority of WSU basketball fans. If you fail to see this, then there's no point in continuing this awesome discussion.

How did you make up the 90's? There was no radio past McPherson after a game LAST YEAR.

If the MAJORITY of WSU fans were without the option, I suspect that would be well known. Remember, there is only one radio station, that I am aware of, outside of KEYN that carries the games, so most fans are in the Wichita area and have access to Cox.

You can conjure up all the misleading comments you wish to put somebody down, but that doesn't change facts or make it right.

Sporry you can't have EVERYTHING you way, I really truly am sorry, because you DESERVE EVERYTHING.

So, IF there were an option, you would pay for it. However you won't pay for the option that is there. You don't have to give up AT&T to get Shocker games. Just pay the $20/mo premium during season, then cancel. Dont want Cox, get Dish. I believe they have CST which is showing many of the Cox 22 games. This will require a contract though. The other option if against those two, is drive down to Oklahoma and watch ESPN3 down there.

You keep saying "majority", but ALL of those outside Wichita wish they could have the options you do, but yet don't take every opportunity to bash a company you have an obvious beef with (deserved or not).
