Pencil in that December 7 game against Nebraska as a good day to check their message board, as it will be in the midst of a solid meltdown. They will already be frustrated with a few losses to OU, NCCU, Middle Tennessee and Tulsa, and then the blowout by Nebraska will push them over the edge.

The Dancing Sweater Vests have several promotions for the upcoming season:

1)Checkerboard game against Eastern Illinois. Several factors went in to this decision. First, they wanted a chance to win the game. Two, they felt like many of the UNL fans that regularly attend sCUm games won't have abandoned them before Nov 25. Three, the checkerboard will consist of 1 section of blue striped overalls next to a completely empty section for contrast. The latter being the most likely goal to meet.

2)Every home game will be designated the Dougie McBuckets Memorial Home Game in an attempt to convince fans it's really not over.

3)The DePaul game will also be called the Wichita State Rivalry Game. This may seem odd on the surface but DePaul is now their Big Priest Rival Game and the goal is to make the Blue Demons feel already defeated. Genius if you ask me as they'll likely be in desperate need of a win at that point in the season.

Finally, they've yet to decide how many Little Red Bobblehead nights will be required to bolster attendance numbers to the point they can sell enough alcohol to pay rent at whatever their rented barn's name is this year. They're thinking 7 right now, but that number continues to rise.

The thing about Creighton is nobody knows if the "remnants" of their team are any good or not. They haven't been given an opportunity to participate. They might have some decent shooters that nobody knows about. But maybe not. One thing is for sure, their defense should improve. LOL. It'll be interesting watching them this season.

That had never occurred to me before. I really wish the article that places them below SIU would have made mention of that.
