    Sundevil Shox -
Where does this rank in all time WSU meltdowns?
    IndyTreeFan -
Just got back to Indy from the game. I still can't believe we won. I'm just shakin' my head and smilin'...

Seriously, though, thanks to the Shox. That was the largest comeback in Hulman Center's 35 year history!
We are breakin' records this year!!!11111

You want the only two guys outside of the seniors who have demonstrated offensive ability to leave. (Sorry, but Clemente's shooting skills involve his hands moving toward the basket followed by a quick prayer.)

Are you wanting to average 40 points a game next year?

Agreed. It still sucks to be losing, but I would much rather hear what I did tonight than the moping BS we got to hear last year as the season was slipping away.

Don't forget Mantas... he's somewhat innocent in these latest happenings. I hope for his sake he can come back.

BTW... I rewound the tape of tonight's game at the end and I DID see where Lance was making those hand motions behind the coach. It was right before Gal took his second free-throw before ISU tied it for overtime. During the time out.

Not trying to stir up trouble by saying this--but I rewound it several times trying my best to see a different 'intention' and wasn't able to find one. It did appear that he was being disrespectful behind the coach's back, but maybe someone else also has an opinion...?

It has nothing to do with what I want. I will be SHOCKED if Mekel and Durley are asked back next year.

You might be correct... it very well could be Ramon and the 12 newbies.
Heck, lets just cut them all!

I think coach has been pretty happy with Gal lately. At least that's what he's said in interviews. I think Gal has improved immensely over the season. With Durley it's been a lot harder to track his improvement.

Sometimes you just want to totally give up. But that is just not human nature.

The team needs to focus on their families, their relgion and the Green Bay Packers!

Maybe if we demolish Koch arena and dispose of all basketball equipment and paraphernalia so as to really do it right.

Hi' Coach, we can poor you slab of concrete right here and put up a couple of goals. Will get you a basketball, but nets will have to come later.
Or we could just put Gene and Brent in charge now??

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

If that's the case (and im not saying with 100% certainty it is) Lance should be off the team tomorrow for a lack of respect.

I thought he might have been trying to make sure that the players were talking to each other out on the court. Not that Harris telling them to do that would make it any more or less likely that they would, but, hey, we still tell little leaguers to look for a good pitch...

Anyway, when I saw it at first it did look like he was making fun of the coach, but he kept doing it and then even added the other hand making the same gesture... it just didn't appear malicious to me. It seemed more like he was emphasizing whatever Marshall was saying rather than mocking him (hence, why I thought I he might be telling the players they need to be communicating... sounds like something a coach might be saying). A half-hearted emphasis, maybe, but at that point...

Well, if you stay out of the bathtub while listening to the radio, you won't be shocked as often. ;-)

I hope you're right. It doesn't seem like something we would expect from Lance. It's tough to tell just from a gesture like that.

That was probably the worst half of basketball I have ever seen from a WSU team. Total meltdown to the extreme. Matt deserves props  for a great game... the rest of them, maybe minus PJ, deserve nothing but criticism for this and the last several games they have blown. I have a few issues with Marshall's in-game stuff tonight but overall im blaming the kids straight up. A total embarrassment for everyone involved and they need to be made aware of it.

I hope coach sits down with every single of these guys coming back after the season is over and airs it out because I believe some ships do need to be pulled.

                            :-x :-x :-x
I didn't watch all of the game nor did I see the gesture you are talking about. I haven't spoken to Lance about it either. It's really hard to know what is going on just by observing.

I would like to give Lance the benefit of the doubt because I know him and have known him all his life. Lance was coached since age 11 years old by his father. His father was the Peabody Head Coach that died on the basketball court 3 years ago while coaching. His father was serious about the game and was a winning coach even before taking the head coaching job at Peabody. Lance was raised to show respect. I have seen his father an inch from his face yelling and screaming while coaching him and Lance never opened his mouth. Lance played for Coach Carl Taylor. He knows to be respectful.

Consider this: He played on this team last year and played in only 3 games. He remained humble. He started this year getting hardly any playing time. In fact he was not even in the rotation. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to be on a team, labled as a walkon with no talent when in fact you have as much talent as some of the scholarship players?
Lance remained humble. I would have quit.

You should listen to his radio interview after the Creighton game. He remained humble and spoke about the team and not about "me" or "I". He is a team player. He is respectful. He is not the kind of person to show disrespect to the coach or any adult. It's apparent that you don't know him. Why don't you ask Lance. I assure you he will give you an honest answer.

So, um, when is the right time to blame the coach?

According to you, the coach has no responsibility over the team and it's all on the team's shoulders.

So why again are we paying a guy 3/4 of a million dollars with no responsibilities? ...
