Well if you can't deal with players using up eligibility then college basketball is not the game for you. Tad was probably about as closed to a co-head coach as the come.

      • I agree, but that doesn't mean that Turg was prepared for his departure. Paul graduating had just as much to do with the drop off as Tad taking the Northern Colorado job.

        • Outside of Paul Miller and lucking out on getting Kyle Wilson as a transfer, Mark's recruiting of big men was terrible even by Missouri Valley standards.

Losing Tad exposed a lot of things.

Don't forget that Paul came to WSU as a double sport athlete. He had a 90 mph fastball as was to play for Stevenson had it not been for his early injury. That made him a 5th year senior, so MT had more than enough time to make adjustments.

            Losing Tad was big.

Let's just hope that Marshall losing Jans won't translate in the same way. However, Marshall and MT are two different things

Yes, 21 -- no doubt Jans was a big help to Marshall. But there's also no doubt in my mind that Marshall was a considerable upgrade from MT, and I think we'll see further evidence of that next year as WSU works with its current staff plus whoever comes in to replace Jans.

                    • Not that Utah doesn't have the potential but Rothstein would tweet that a slice of pizza was a a dark horse to compete for the league title. He is the universal sunshine pumper.

It's a long offseason still, everybody will have their turn eventually.

Give it a break, most people have Utah as a Top 50 team next year and the issues that PAC 12 teams are facing are only making the Utes look even better. What's issue do you have with Utah being a strong PAC 12 team??

                            • I didnt say anything about Utah not being a contender. Just poking a bit of fun at Rothsteins reputation on twitter. Utah seems to be trending in a positive direction and Im excited to have them on the schedule.

                              • You all most not follow Rothstein on twitter. He really does think that every team is on the upswing, ready to turn the corner, win a championship, etc.
